[In a] phenomenon that's become ubiquitous in mainstream press ... "right-wing" has become a stand-in for "heterodox" or "dissenting" or even just "open-minded."
And now in the DHS, these qualities are being defined as terroristic and by implication treasonous.
Sounds like it was copied from the Bolsheviks in 1917.
The government will tell you what the truth is. You can’t be trusted to see for yourself.
When Bush created the DHS many of us worried that it sounded like a proto-totalitarian vehicle for control of the people. I mean, when did America ever talk about “the homeland” before? That’s reminiscent of certain european regimes. It appears now that those concerns are justified as the Biden regime is well on the way toward weaponizing “all of government” against the American people.
It’s too bad so many were eager to jettison the natural born citizen clause that protected us for over 200 years.....
Everything that has happened since Usurpation Day was preventable.
The DHS bulleting reads like something from the USSR.
Our country and Canada and Australia and much of europe are undergoing this revolution right under our noses. Sadly, we are more interested in the superbowl.
Garden variety communism - not unlike N Korea in principle if not (yet) practice.
Every single Republican senator, congressman, and governor should be pushing back on this, calling it stooopid and a political stunt.
Come and get me.
DHS has undermined my faith in government.
Now what ?
See how that works ?
Bulletin sounds precisely like a prelude to a totalitarian crackdown on political dissent.
***Yes it does. What can we do about it?
“the prerequisite to victory is ‘to make proper preparations in the enemy’s camp so that the result is decided beforehand.’ Thus the former Chief of the General Staff of the Red Army” continued “in a remarkable paraphrase of Sun Tzu: ‘the victorious army attacks a demoralized and defeated enemy.’”
“the skillful strategist should be able to subdue the enemy’s army without engaging it, to take his cities without laying siege to them, and to overthrow his State without bloodying swords.”
“In Sun Tzu’s view, the army was the instrument which delivered the coup de grâce to an enemy previously made vulnerable. Prior to hostilities, secret agents separated the enemy’s allies from him and conducted a variety of clandestine activities against him. Among their missions were to spread false rumors and misleading information, to corrupt and subvert officials, to create and exacerbate internal discord, and to nurture Fifth Columns. Meanwhile spies at all levels ascertained the enemy at all levels. On their reports, ‘victorious’ plans were based.”
“He did not conceive war in terms of slaughter and destruction; to take all intact, or as nearly intact as possible, was the proper objective of strategy.”
When Bush created the DHS many of us worried that it sounded like a proto-totalitarian vehicle for control of the people.
***Yup, and we were shouted down here on Free Republic. Now our fears are being realized so where are the statist JackBootLickers now? Surprisingly silent.
Yup. It was the biggest constitutional issue of our lifetimes.
Wrongthink will be vigorously prosecuted for the terrorism that it is.
Nice to see the Minority Occpuation Government sticking to their Third World principles.
I feel like DHS has much bigger issues with thousands of illegals pouring over the border daily.
