Few people have received the kind of love-hate treatment from the media that Elon Musk has. Initially lionized for his role in building Tesla into the world’s preeminent manufacturer of electric cars, Musk saw his public image darken as the media fixated on his increasingly contrarian and – dare we say it – conservative viewpoint on politics, the climate and society.
As a result, Musk took to Twitter Tuesday morning in Asia to criticize the traditional media for pumping out a “relentless hate-stream” of bad news. Musk lamented that it’s “so hard to find out what’s going on in the world without being bombarded with news that makes one sad & angry!”
Furthermore, Musk lashed out at the media for “focusing relentlessly” on bad news, claiming that it doesn’t give an accurate representation of reality. In a reply to another user, the billionaire said “careless negativity (destruction) is much harder than thoughtful positivity (creation).”
Why is the “traditional” media such a relentless hatestream? Real question.

Most news outlets attempt to answer the question: “What are the worst things happening on Earth today?”
It’s a big planet! Obviously, some bad things are happening somewhere at any given time, but focusing relentlessly on those does not give an accurate picture of reality.

Musk’s tweets arrived just a few hours after Brett Winton, director of research at Ark Investment Management (a major Tesla bull that has seen the value of its funds collapse in recent months), tweeted “it is deeply weird that the Internet tried to bully, threaten, extort and browbeat us into giving up on Tesla.”

Musk replied that “the insane tweet FUD campaign & press hatestream of 2017-2019 is still easily found.”
It was so crazy! The insane tweet FUD campaign & press hatestream of 2017-2019 is still easily found.

Musk’s anti-media tweets arrived at a particularly difficult time for Tesla: the media just reported that the SEC had sent Tesla and Musk another subpoena back in November over Musk’s now-infamous “funding secured” tweet from August 2018.
The Tesla CEO also sent another one of his infamous dogecoin-pumping tweets…

…but before ending his tirade, he apparently signed off with a Monty Python reference.

The subtext is obvious: perhaps instead of being so morbid all the time, the press should try writing about something positive.
Ulterior motive?
The Ministry of Propaganda is the most corrosive element of our society currently.
Musk just might turn out to be the next Trump, the party-free Tom Bombadil of Middle Earth.
I think “Nattering Nabobs of Negativism” sounds better.
OR -
The "MSM-RHS"
I like it.
I hope he is heavily guarded and protected.
He is as much as an American as The Obamanation of Desolation. Maybe he should put his money where his mouth is and run for office. (Or buy one)
Elon Musk is right again.
Musk is hardly a conservative. He’s a hard-working individualist. He has his own ideas and, thanks to the American Dream, the clout to express them.
I think he believes a lot of what the Left believes, though, and that drives them crazy.
What is “Conservative” anymore?
mainstream media aint mainstream
they are LEFTIST propagandists
I am replying to the article, where it says that Musk expresses conservative views. I don’t believe that he really does. He just bridles at Liberal Orthodoxy. Much of what he believes is in alignment with Liberals, however.
I always consider myself more as a “Classical Liberal”, the Commies hijacked the name.
Technically, I believe that the term, “Liberal” comes from the Ancient Greek democracies. That sounds pretty classical.
In the Greek Democracies, there were the Liberals who studied the arts of music and the writings of great thinkers and who would vote in the Democracy.
They were the “Liberals” because they were free. The rest were slaves. The slaves made sure that the Liberals toilets worked and that their houses were properly heated.
—” “Nattering Nabobs of Negativism” “
YES!
And now aided by a mob of no-name twits.
Thanks Elon. It’s two years into this. Glad you figured it out.
Musk refuses to go along with the Deep State, therefore the News Misleadia has been ordered to destroy him.
Whatta bout smoking dope online with Rogen?
Agree!
I’m a John Locke liberal and a supporter of Romans 13 governance.
What we have today is Revelations 13 governance.
In the 1960s, I opposed the oppressive Establishment. I was called a liberal.
Today, I oppose the oppressive Establishment, and I am called a conservative.
That’s because the Establishment has lurched so far left, that even John Locke looks ultra conservative.
