Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) introduced a bill on Tuesday that would allow servicemembers who were discharged over the Biden administration’s military coronavirus vaccine mandate to be reinstated, Breitbart News has exclusively learned.
The bill, called the Service Restoration Act, would also prevent troops from facing punishment or any adverse treatment as a result of not wanting to get vaccinated. “Adverse action” would include retaliation, punishment, disparate treatment, a requirement to wear a mask or reside in sub-standard housing.
The bill would also allow reinstated service members to count the time they were discharged towards their retirement benefits and expunge from the service member’s service record any adverse action that was based solely on not receiving the vaccine.
Roy said:
Because of President Biden’s power-hungry, anti-science COVID-19 vaccine mandate, hundreds of valuable American service members are being forced out of our military, taking with them years of subject-matter expertise, careers of selfless sacrifice, and lifelong dreams of military service. This is strategically foolish, profoundly un-American, and completely unacceptable.
I introduced the Service Restoration Act to ensure that the brave men and women of our armed forces are not fired over this wrong-headed mandate — whether it be for a medical, religious, conscientious or any reason — and that those already dismissed are able to get back to honorably serving their country with their time of service and records rightfully restored.
The bill so far has seven Republican co-sponsors, including Reps. Marjorie Taylor-Greene (GA); Michael Cloud (TX); Bill Posey (FL); Matt Rosedale (MT); Louie Gohmert (TX); Van Taylor (TX); and Bob Good (VA).
During a recent rally in Texas, former President Donald Trump called for Republicans to reinstate troops discharged over the mandate if they take control of Congress in 2022, as reported by Breitbart News. ***

Reinstate with back pay. Executive order #1 when Trump takes over.
Likely won’t even be assigned to a committee, let alone get voted out of committee. A nice gesture, but nothing more.
Congress establishes the rules and regulations of the military. That could all be fixed with or without Biden.
Chip is missing the mark on this. Why put warfighters back into a hostile environment? Unless you remove the leadership that pushed this experiment on troops, you’ve accomplished nothing.
Hey, Joe is just trying to rid the military od patriots so when he orders them to take control of this Republic they will do so without question.
Why would you -want- to return to serve under this command structure?
Good question.
These folks will be demanded to return to service if some
issue like the Ukraine heats up.
Anytime they need more people, these people will be viewed
a lot differently.
I wouldn’t want to re-enter the service now if I were them.
The leadership who pushed the mandates should get referral to the Nuremberg II tribunals just like their ilk got in the Nuremberg I tribunals.
No, knowing that they don’t have my back and never will!
“-—under this command structure-—” yeah, at the moment it’s pretty lamish but there’s room for hope. Note the recent firings of command types: Navy Seabees, Marine amphibians,USS Connecticut command, ship wreckers, and more than I can remember at the moment. And we’re still waiting for cleanup on aisle Kabul but it will happen. Brain fog from the clotshots is just getting to be obvious to everyone and I expect changes are on the way. Probably before the fall election. We don’t have enough F-35’s to last the year at the rate they are sinking them.
Which is fine with Biden, because the people being forced to leave are likely to be mostly good, American patriots, leaving behind the SJWs who would have no problem droning my house sometime in the future.
This is idiotic next we will be having political officers like the old USRR...
If you sign up you do what they tell you...end of story
I doubt this has a prayer of passing but I applaud the idea.
The DoD can’t just let these people go as offered. They are out to PERSECUTE them any and every way they can. I know this to be a fact. They are defenseless and the brass is having their way with them. They have unleashed their jackals in both the medical and legal corp with punishment and threats.
There is no such thing as letting bygones be bygones and drumming them out. The military is extracting as much flesh and humiliation as they possibly can before stripping these people of as much as they can.
Some damn politician need to do something for these guys. Instead they wet themselves if they do a thing. Our rep, Mullen, stated he will not lift a finger to help our troops in this regard.
UCMJ exists only to punish and there are no rights under it. Just a show. They treat these people without constitutional rights at all. I never knew signing up meant signing out of the bill of rights. It apparently does.
I wouldn’t want to stay in but I’d at least like to get out with honor.
I encourage anybody in to get out as fast as they can and anybody not in to forget about signing up.
The command structure is polluted and corrupt. Without total change there it will never improve.
We effectively do have commisars. We have a bunch of karens who make brownie points by snitching on anything.
We also have diversity managers, supervisors, coordinators and officers who lurk around trying to catch someone saying something they say is offensive. Most of the ones I have seen are some fat noncom woman of color with a chip on her shoulder. If not that they are some queer nimrod.
The goal these days is to catch somebody doing something that even looks wrong and then disciplining them. Today’s military is a miserable place to be.
I’ve served in SE Asia when Trump was a draft dodger and apparently you have not served...
The UCMJ has worked well for those who chose to serve for almost 250 years...
Again if you can’t serve because of your politics then don’t serve....
Sorry, just like always, a contract or the law is only as good as the people who either signed or enforce it. The contract in the military is administered by people I don’t think you would walk across the street to piss on if they were on fire. At least I hope that is the case. The flag ranks are filled with obama lick spittles.
You are living in a dream world if you think thing are anything at all like they were when you served. There were still enough half way decent men to make independent decisions. Now they make the decision they are told to make and the flavor starts at the top.
No, I ain’t buying your view because it is antiquated and lost in the past.
“No, I ain’t buying your view because it is antiquated and lost in the past.”
LOL
Fully agree.
