He died because he swallowed the drug he was selling called fentanyl. He would have killed many people for money.

Why get him out of the back of the car?

What in the name of ‘double jeopardy’ is going on ?
Good Grief.
They have already been tried and convicted of this ‘crime’.
Don’t the Feds and FIBbers have something better to do with their time?

Face down? Am I wrong in remembering he was facing sideways, with the side of his neck being knelt on?

He was drowning in his own lungs and would have died if left in the back of the squad car, or even if left in his own car sitting next to the mook that gave him the fentanyl.

This guy is an expert, but...
- "Dr. Systrom, the amount of fentanyl in Big Gorge's blood was 5.6 nanograms per milliliters, is that correct? Now, Dr. Isenschmid attempted to refute the fact that Big Gorge overdosed on a combination of fentanyl and methamphetamine, while admitting that only one-quarter of the 2300 samples that his lab tested in the prior year were the same or higher than Big Gorge, and that statistic was provided for fentanyl overages alone."
- "Dr. Tobin, who was the doctor called at the state criminal trial in the same capacity that you are testifying here, said Big Gorge died "from a low level of oxygen". At what level of oxygen would hypoxemia have killed Big Gorge? Could that level have been reached when Big Gorge stiffened his legs? Or even well before that moment?
- "Do you not admit Big Gorge's drug intoxication played a role? Yes or no. His heart disease? Yes or no. His hypertension? Yes or no. His sickle cell trait? Yes or no. His long history of drug abuse? Yes or no. These were all “substantial causal factors" in Big Gorge's death, were they not, Dr. Systrom?"

1. Did this doc know the deceased?
2. Did this doc participate in the autopsy?
3. Did this doc know that the deceased complained about breathing long before he was on the ground?
4. How did this doc ever get involved with this case considering that he was 1100 miles from the deceased?
5. Does this doc know what fentanyl is?

The reason he was hand-cuffed and restrained face-down was because the video shows this very big man violently kicking the police while he was on his back.

Why was he screaming that he couldn’t breathe before being restrained? Personally I think It was COVID that killed him.

I simulated this situation over a year ago, (with an unnamed assistant). I was 66 yrs old, 185 lbs, with a considerably smaller and weaker neck. On a wood floor.
Uncomfortable? Oh yeah. But you pump air with your diaphram, not with your rib cage. Harder to breathe? Yeah, but I could breathe. I little painful on the chest muscles in that area, and a little sore there for a couple of days.
After hearing about the knee actually being on the right upper area of the left shoulder blade, I thought that would definately have been less stress than directly on the lower neck.
Chauvin weighed about 160 lbs. He was in a 4 point stance. There probably wasn’t more than 60 lbs on the man’s back.
(Disclaimer: I don’t do drugs or booze, so my comparison is unfair. Sorry.)

Lung expert: Floyd died because his breathing was restricted Bullsh*t. Fentanyl causes breathing problems. Putting a knee on the back of someone's neck does not cause breathing problems. People have recreated this experiment several times and no one died.
George Floyd died because he overdosed on Fentanyl.
