Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) on Sunday said “vice presidents can't simply decide not to certify an election,” breaking with former President Trump after he suggested that then-Vice President Mike Pence had the ability to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

Asked by moderator Margaret Brennan on CBS’s “Face the Nation” if he agreed with Pence — who on Friday said he had “no right to overturn the election” — Rubio said that after examining the matter, he concluded that vice presidents do not have the power to not certify an election.

If that’s true - why do you support the bill that says the VP can’t?

Why do you need a law if the VP could never do that, Rubio?

My family is so looking forward to not voting for Rubio in 2022. We will never support those who disenfranchise us. Period.

Yes. Why get involved and turn people away?

If Rubio is walking on the sidewalk and sees a pile left behind by a dog, just step around it.

We need to make sure we stand politely in lines while they drag us off to the camps.

Those are the rules!

I have — yet more — dumb questions:

If it is the VP’s job to “certify” the elections, is he not then required to assess the validity of the results?

And if he finds the results to be invalid, or in need of further review, should he not decline to certify those results?

And if he declines to certify, that is not the same as “de-certifying” is it?

Then why is congress trying to pass a new law that says the VP can’t? Because pence could have, and should have. Now the gop is rounding the wagons to protect what they all did to us. I’m in roubio’s district now, I will not be voting for him, PERIOD.

If Trump is smart....he stop talking about this. He brought it up AGAIN this week. Pence then fired back.

Just like then....he can’t contain himself. He made a terrible mistake throwing Pence under the bus. A good portion of the party is still ticked about that. He needs to figure that out....it’s makes him unelectable. Trump needs fix this problem or he will never will if he runs.

Can the VP decide to certify an election?

If so, how is it possible that the VP can’t decide to not certify an election? This would imply that it isn’t a decision... in which case why is the VP involved at all?

For that matter, why is Congress involved at all?

I received a text from Don Jr to donate to him. Why do they continue to support him? Rubio wanted Andrew McCabe to keep his pension.

The country is literally burning and all they can focus on in the fake, lying media is Pence and Trump. How Pence could have called BS on the fraud, but didn’t.

Illegals
COVID lockdown
Ukraine
Inflation

These f-tards cannot stop their hatred of DJT. Even the midget Rubio.
