There’s something idiosyncratically American about Joe Rogan. Maybe it’s his frat-boyish persona. His passions for hunting and extreme sports. Perhaps, most of all, Joe Rogan embodies some whimsical notion of the American Dream: a college dropout turned stand-up comedian, who worked his way up to become one of the world’s media titans....Last year, it was Spotify’s most-streamed podcast globally, in the US and the UK. Rogan is, anyone would have to admit, quite the big deal.
And yet, he is a polarising figure. A staunch libertarian, Rogan has faced accusations of sexism and transphobia over remarks made on the podcast. His diverse list of guests includes everyone from A-listers to online eccentrics. Robert Downey Jr, Kanye West, Edward Snowden and Elon Musk are among those to have graced his show. Rogan has also become known for hosting controversial guests on his programme, allowing the airing of offensive opinions and misinformation – something that’s become increasingly scrutinised during the pandemic...
...
In the UK, though, his success is more puzzling...Rogan’s international popularity reveals something fundamental about the man’s appeal. To some extent, Rogan’s approach to interviewing is one rooted in curiosity. He takes a relatively egalitarian approach to booking guests, and usually appears more than willing to indulge whatever they have to say...
...
...There are undoubtedly people who listen to Rogan because they align with him politically – but even then, it’s not as simple as him being right-wing. Yes, he goes on turgid rants about “cancel culture”...To some extent, Rogan’s appeal lies in his single-mindedness. In an era where both right- and left-wing political forums so often become echo chambers, Rogan is an outlier. A dangerous one maybe – but an outlier nonetheless.

?..is very close to the mark. When they slapped warning labels on records, those records sold bigly.
All of these attempts to cancel Rogan from the left and the Limbaugh shiva-sitters seem to emanate from a fear that he's redpilling people under 40. And apparently he's doing it in the U.K. as well.
“it’s not as simple as him being right-wing”
The author’s credibility flew right out the window there.
Wow what an onslaught. And in spite of his ‘apology’.
Joe Rogan has become public enemy no. one in the media today, and no one is more surprised about that than Joe Rogan.
All because he airs points of view different from their’s.

The ruling class clocks in with their task-tisking over the serfs hearing from anyone other than the official fascist state-run media.
Free thinking is a sure sign of cultism right? As noted by far left wing extremist haters. And, I don’t need Joe to give me a clue. A lot of folks already are free thinking. Apparently not enough and some need a slight push to see the light.
P.S. Is yoko ono still threatening to have her material PUT ON spotify if they don’t censor Rogan?
Unbelievable Howard Stern skit at link.
If Rogan is going to be cancelled for a few n-words over the years, Howard Stern will have to be tarred, feathered, crucified, and lit on fire.

Joe Rogan is a Liberal-Libertarian. In no way is Rogan a right winger or Republican.
Anything that questions the communistic left is - a cult??
Funny how we’ve never heard the words - “The Cult of Neil Young”..
I also heard Salieri was pulling his operas, as was the first singer for Iron Maiden.
I am not of either one’s disciples and worshipers.
He wanted Bernie to be President. He’s hardly right wing.
Also, from what I underestand (I don’t listen to his show) he interviews people and lets them express what they believe is all.
Holy crap!!
The author called Rogan “dangerous.” That’s not because of “misinformation” - it’s because he’s redpilling many people, apparently in the US AND abroad. Can’t have any Yanks getting people to think independently now...
He actually listens, lets people finish their answers, and tries to follow an actual conversation.
And they hate him for it;
That’s the way they operate, stray from the orthodoxy 1 time out of 10 and you become a “far right fanatic”.
Unlike many here, I actually listen to his podcasts and enjoy them. A lot of FReepers can’t listen to anyone that isn’t 100% echo chamber certified. He has a wide array of guests, and many interviews are fun or information heavy.
Too many binary “thinkers” here.
The problem is there is no one FR orthodoxy LOL.
So it’s difficult to be a “true believer”
