So what?

The Supreme Court had already ruled against Gore. No such ruling ever occurred - either for or against Trump in 2020.

Also, no one had a problem with Pence presiding. What he did though that was illegal was to accept fraudulent electors while legal challenges were pending.

So why? Why did Pence stab Trump in the back? Because he wanted to. He had a legal constitutional right to defer and let Leahy conduct the Kangaroo Court, but No.... He WANTED to disregard the law and betray Trump and the American public.

You can spin this all you want to in your lame attempts to say Pence had no choice but to follow the Constitution, but that is just not the case.

Yes, Pence flushed the punchbowl on himself.

None of this is spin, and all of it is based on what is explicitly laid out in the U.S. Constitution and in federal law. I know some people here can’t come to grips with that, but that doesn’t make me wrong. I posted endlessly here on FR back in December 2016 and January 2017 when a bunch of hysterical nitwits were insisting that Trump would never be inaugurated.

What I post here about the 2020 election is totally consistent with what I was saying back then. The same can’t be said about a lot of folks here on FR who get on here and post crap about the 2020 election process that they would have written off as lunacy if Hillary Clinton’s people were saying the same thing in 2016.

P.S. — The U.S. Supreme Court never should have even taken that case in 2000. The Court has no role in a presidential election except in limited cases involving civil rights. Florida was perfectly capable of figuring out who its electors were.
