Virginia Military Institute will make changes to its student-run honor court to make the system fairer to cadets accused of lying, cheating, stealing or other transgressions that can lead to expulsion.
VMI detailed the reforms in a progress report Friday in response to a state-ordered investigation into racism and sexism at the nation’s oldest state-supported military college.
The 70-page report, which the college gave to General Assembly members and the Virginia secretary of education, describes initiatives approved, enacted or begun last year, including mandatory diversity, equity, and inclusion training for administrators and members of VMI’s Board of Visitors, and changes to the Lexington school’s one-strike-and-you’re-out honor court system.
A Black VMI cadet was threatened with a lynching, then with expulsion Black students at VMI were expelled by the honor court at a disproportionately high rate, according to data obtained by The Washington Post for the three academic years between the fall of 2017 and the spring of 2020. Though Black cadets made up about 6 percent of the student body, they represented about 43 percent of those expelled for honor code violations. Twelve out of the 28 VMI students dismissed in those three academic years were Black. When students of color were included in the count, the number of expelled rose to 15, or about 54 percent of the total, even though minorities made up about 21 percent of the student population in that three-year period.

VMI used to be a grand military institute but has become about as woke as the Left in this country has become utter destructive cancer.
That is one of the correlates of affirmative action and academic mismatch.
An honor system based on race isn’t an honor system; it’s a dishonorable quota system based on racism.

So, blacks cannot handle honor, ethics, morals, and commit crimes.
And they say blacks never got reparations. Yet we see it everyday in things like this, and it’s everywhere. Special treatment constantly, at others expense.

The black cadets were likely in over their heads academically.
They’ve gotten half a century of reparations, and most have fallen even further behind. This is not how assimilation will be accomplished.

Though black males between 15 and 35 make up about 3% of the population, they represent about 50% of those who murder other people.
Sounds about right.
Two defense contractors I worked for suspended random drug tests because they ONLY failed black workers. (Obviously, as at any large facility, there would be white users as well. However, unlike the blacks, they didn’t go out and do it publicly in the parking lots and thus, probably had a lower level of whatever in their urine.)
I would hazard a guess that VMI will not be producing another George C. Marshall or Stonewall Jackson.
Just like the US Military Academies, who have now changed their Honor Code(s) to satisfy or maybe pacify the lowest common denominator.
Because we arrest who we find at the scene of the crime!
