Get the jab, or we’ll send you back to Afghanistan, Paean.

I think it’s a money thing. I suppose a state’s National Guard could revert back to being a state militia (many positives there). But then it would lose all sorts of federal funding.

My sons are fighting to not get the jabs, they are both in the Army Reserve, one in PA and the other TN. Much different approaches...PA is especially super toxic leadership.

Both however have been told they can’t be deployed, can’t be promoted and will be forced out at the soonest possible moment. The one in TN has been told they won’t process his packet to leave (which has been delayed 9 months now) until he gets the jab...which doesn’t make any kind of sense at all (but that is the clown world we live in).

Both report the devastating impact this, and Afghanistan, have had on the E6 and below professional soldiers that are leaving in droves.

USSC has ruled that the federal government exercises plenary power over the NG.

They have legal authority over the Guard units when they are nationalized by the President. However, they are using the threat of taking away the guard ‘status.’ That means denying any federal funds and/or equipment if necessary. It’s extortion.

This government has NO authority whatsoever to force any individual to get vaccinated, period. Biden doesn’t even have that power in an Executive Order. Instead, they use threats, intimidation and extortion on those individuals’ employers, guard command, hospitals, etc.

Considering that the equipment, promotions and some large portion of the salaries for Guard members comes from the Pentagon, I would say that SecDef does have some authority in this matter.

All state National Guards should be replaced by State Defense Forces that are under the sole control of the states that they are in:
