Tucker Carlson Alone Has More Ages 25-54 Democratic Viewers Than CNN and MSNBC

Tucker Carlson is attracting more Democratic viewers between the ages of 25-54 than CNN and MSNBC, according to The Wrap.

Carlson is a frequent target of the far left for his pro-Russian rants and because he’s giving voice to conspiracy theories about the 2020 election. But there are many Democrats who are apparently entertained by Carlson–or perhaps they like getting angry.

More surprising are the stats about Carlson and Fox News’ pull with self-proclaimed Democrats. Of those demo-aged viewers surveyed who identified as Democrats, 39% chose Fox News, 31% chose MSNBC and 30% chose CNN for programming from 8 p.m. ET to 11 p.m. ET. In total-day viewership, Fox News grabbed 42% of Democrats aged 25-54, CNN nabbed 33% and MSNBC got 25%.

Carlson was top among Democrats in the demo across all of cable news that month and ranked third place among Dems in total viewership, too. Of top four programs among Democrats in total viewers, Fox News had three: “The Five,” “Tucker Carlson Tonight” and “Hannity.” The top spot in total viewers went to MSNBC’s “The Rachel Maddow Show.”

This is not a one-month phenomenon. Carlson has been destroying the competition all year.

These numbers only account for October but reveal that Fox News’ and Carlson’s sizable audiences are not that easy to define. Consider Carlson’s ratings that month. In October, Carlson’s show was the top-rated program in the demo across all of cable news and was the second highest-rated show overall, coming in only behind Fox News’ late-afternoon panel show “The Five.” In total average viewers, he netted 3.081 million viewers and in the demo, he secured 483,000. For the entire year of 2021, “Tucker Carlson Tonight” was the highest-rated program in cable news overall, bringing in an average of 3.214 million total viewers with 535,000 in the demo.

I am very glad to hear this, and expect that he is getting through to some of them. This may bode well for our side, as time passes.

"Pro-Russia rants."

Suck me, Moran. Being anti-intervention isn't pro anything.

Even if you go there to see what your evil opponents are up to, if you stick around you may start to see how a lot of this makes sense. Red-pilled again!

That’s good. So why didn’t anyone before?

Tucker has the hair/testosterone of a young man. It appeals to them. The Kenyan had the sex appeal of a movie star-appeals to women. Takes their clothes off.

CNN, what a joke. MSNBC is rapidly headed that way. Let’s allow that to sink in. Tucker gets more Democrats watching than the networks who specifically cater to Democrats. If he is convincing some of them, great; if he is triggering some of them to the point that it’s unhealthy, even better. Let’s also remember that there are powerful people at Fox who would love to give Tucker the boot. He is winning.

And the obsessed (with Tucker) MSM is too hate-filled to realize that they’re giving him free publicity and driving up his numbers. Hope they keep it going.

I have believed and still do that Tucker Carlson would have been the ONE person that could fill the void left by Rush Limbaugh. He would be absolutely explosive, three hours a day!

I give Biden credit for this. He has been SUCH a bad president (especially on the economy) that younger Dems are disgusted and are looking to see what the other side has to say.

Young people don’t watch TV news. CNN is the highest ranked news website in the world by monthly visits.

Tucker is leading a new political paradigm. He’s taken the MAGA movement, married it with blue collar Ds, working class Rs and added in the left over Perot & Buchanan populists. It’s a powerful force because it’s appeal is global; anti-war, anti-globalist, pro-individual freedom. I pray he remains strong and on the air.

Tucker is a master at making the news feel important to the viewer. One of his best devices is the way he frames rhetorical questions.

He also adds context and historical background to his assertions.

His guests are interesting, and, he lets them speak.

(O'Reilly, for example, would never do this.)

“Tucker is a master at making the news feel important to the viewer. One of his best devices is the way he frames rhetorical questions”.

Exactly! That is one reason he is attracting so many. He knows how to persuade them on a personal level which they can relate to. They might not be able to see the big picture but they can relate to what affects them on a personal level. It’s very effective.

“...for his pro-Russian rants”

I suspect a lot of people on the Left are asking the same questions the Leftists asked 50 years ago, regarding Vietnam, which was:

Why should we care what happens in a backwards country, halfway around the world?

Back then, we had an answer - we were fighting an aggressor who was OPEN about their plans for world domination.

Now, I guess, our answer is something like: “Because Joe Biden and the Neocons say so”

I suspect that it gets tiring to watch CNN, hear that crap, and know you’re being played. So they migrate to Tucker.

I haven’t seen that particular Rubin Report, though I am an occasional watcher. I will take a look at it tonight. Yes, Tucker really is crushing it.

So now anybody who disagrees with them is “Pro-Russia”, that’s just swell.
