Republican senators are unmoved by Tucker Carlson’s relentless warpath against support for Ukraine — even as it widens an existing rift in their party.
The Fox News prime time host and others on the far-right have excused and even rationalized Russia’s aggression toward Ukraine and downplayed its relevance to U.S. national security. And while GOP senators are shrugging off his name-and-shame campaign, Carlson’s views are permeating the GOP base in a way that could undermine Republicans’ efforts to emphasize cross-party unity as they seek to deter a Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Eff all RINOs.
Turn up the heat, TUCKER.
It obvious that these RINOs do not listen to those they represent. Also obvious: people do not primary these RINOs.
NO ONE threatens to break the RINOs rice bowl.
We want war and you can’t stop us. If you try you’ll be cancelled.
RINOs
“What really gets me is as the US is sleepwalking to war, all these war hawks seems to forget Russia has thousands of nuclear warheads. If this was say 1984, the world would be freaking out that nuclear Armageddon was about to occur.”
I think the years of panic over nuclear war have made the public a little numb to it. I agree with you and Carlson, we don’t want, nor do we need a war. No dead patriots so that the deep state can profit.
They will try to turn Tucker into the new Charles Lindbergh.
Carlson is making a strong rational case why American blood and treasure should not be once again sacrificed in yet another foreign entanglement that does not directly threaten the United States. If the Republican Senators have a strong, rational argument that counters that view, they should explain themselves in equally persuasive terms to the American people. Otherwise they become laughable fodder for the globalists at Politico.
Forget the side banter. What is our interest in Ukraine? The Europeans have more at stake than us.
Biden administration needs to quit the hysterics. He will find, like Obama did when he drew the red line in Syria, no one will follow.
“far-right”
Name calling—that is what passes for deep intellectual thought among leftist media types.
Hey GOP senators, now do "The US has every right, as a sovereign nation, to have its borders respected".
Rinos say the US needs to defend Ukraine Borders, but willfully leave ours open for the cheap labor express.
“Republicans’ efforts to emphasize cross-party unity”
The fact that Republican politicians and establishment think-tank types believe such a thing as “cross-party unity” can even exist in this day and age shows how dangerously delusional they are.
In fact neither GOP nor Tucker are decision-makers vis a vis Ukraine.
The Cadaver in Chief is. Lord help us.
Hilarious and disingenuous to describe Carlson’s position against going to war as “being on the warpath”.
Flailing about while avoiding a decision is a decision too.
The “cross-party unity” exists among the slave-holders in DC.
The slaves are not a part of the discussion.
Reminder to GOP.... Who has the backing of the grassroots?
Enough of the endless wars and butting into other people’s business.
