Love to see kids hit back at school tyrants that lord over them with their "woke" rules.
In addition to any other remedy the courts order I suggest the principal, assistant principal and Band teacher be ordered to each write a ten-page essay on the first amendment and why they were wrong. The essays are to be handed in on a date certain with the declaration, under penalty of perjury, that they were written by the parties with no outside help.

Sounds like the student’s “friend” and “fellow Christian” who reported him is neither a friend nor Christian.
Sounds like the friend purposely set him up.
I’d be willing to bet a huge sum of money that if the student had been Muslim and was taking about his/her religion to another student not one of these very very concerned school employees would have said word one.
This happened 10 months ago? This kid should have gotten an attorney sooner than this. A demand letter would probably have yielded results. I hope they are suing these clowns personally as well as the district.
According to the article, the parents got a law firm right after he was suspended.
The story contains a contradiction.
It says the conversation did not take place on campus, which would be and open and shut case of his 1st amendment rights being violated, but in another place it says the conversation took place in a hallway.
I’m sure the school board will argue the location of the convesation is reavant.
And no, the other boy was not a friend. I am willing to believe he thinks he’s a “open minded Christian” from a church like the Presbyterian USA.
