The weather channel a few years ago
they wanted to mimic hurricane names
and yes they are woke
“Effective immediately, we will discontinue use of the racially-insensitive term ‘Dixie Alley’ – and I call on others in the industry to do the same,” Byron Allen – CEO of Allen Media Group, parent company of The Weather Channel television network – said in a statement.
Eventually they’ll name every gust of wind, or raindrop.
You seem to have issues about names for snow storm. Why not just go with the flow?
Part of brainwashing. Naming hits our fear center and personalizes it.
In today's world everything has to be ramped up to the extreme levels of hyperbole. Not only with the weather but almost everything else.
Just look at the idiotic headlines how someone "destroys" someone else with their rhetoric, then you look at the article and it is some lame Tweet that manages to convey nothing but a weak rebuttal.
The same jacka$$€$ that do fake Hurricane reports. Standing in the rain/wind holding a sign post to combat the wind as 2 people walk through the shot in the background.
it’s global warming

The insurance companies. Check the fine print about how your insurance is affected by damage from “named storms”.
Let’s Go Brandon!!!
They want people to be afraid, lathered up, and cowering all the time.
I won’t have anything to do with it. Won’t install their app, won’t go to their web site, don’t watch television...
If I am worried about the weather, I go outside and eyeball it. If I lived in Dixie Alley or Tornado Alley, I might pay more attention.
