The weather channel a few years ago
they wanted to mimic hurricane names
and yes they are woke
“Effective immediately, we will discontinue use of the racially-insensitive term ‘Dixie Alley’ – and I call on others in the industry to do the same,” Byron Allen – CEO of Allen Media Group, parent company of The Weather Channel television network – said in a statement.
drama Drama DRAMA!!!
i don’t know a single person that has ever used a name for a storm... the year and month if more than one storm but usually it’s just “the storm of 96” etc. and that was always more than enough
i hate these people
I'm born and raised in the South and I've never heard the phrase "Dixie Alley".
But if hurricanes can be racist (Katrina), I guess tornadoes can be too.
“...the racially-insensitive term ‘Dixie Alley’”
Sometimes I wish the USA would completely collapse leading to millions of starving masses just so they can get their damn priorities in place.
Who the hell cares about the name ‘Dixie Alley’? Just a bunch of woke losers! I despise them so much. /spit.
Who under the age of 70 watches the Weather Channel? I can get the weather in my fingertips from the NWS in mere moments.
The Weather Channel has fanned out reporters to various states to report on Landon - in downtown OKC, the reporter hilariously stepped into a small snow drift that was about 8” tall for dramatic effect.
It reminded me of the reporter on air who was canoeing in about 6” of water .

Wow. That is weapons grade stupid. The nitwit is obviously too dim to know “Dixie” is short for Mason-Dixon. the two surveyed to the southwest corner of Pennsylvania.
