Breathing easy on this one as snow and ice are passing about 100 miles north. Still going to get buckets of rain.
I’m on the PA/NY state line 70 miles south of Buffalo we are going to get hammered........snowmobile is fueled up....let the good times roll.
That is not a good sign.
Not surprised...it’s Buffalo and you guys do get hit hard in these events.

In WWII during the winter Russian counteroffensive against the initial German invasion the Soviets mixed a bit of gasoline with diesel to prevent it from jelling.
The were able to do some serious damage to the Germans who couldn’t get their tanks to start.
Storms of all kinds ‘wobble’ thru my area so we never know how it’s going to play out for a lot of storms. We still have snow piles from the last storm. It’s been raining so my deck snow will definatly turn to brick with the ice and lower temps coming.

I expect it’s going to be nasty out there for a lot of people. It doesn’t take much snow with ice for it too get very bad.
Lucky you! Looks like we’re going to get it all here....but we shall see.
Well everything is “up” with the media forms and technology today.....and everybody giving their reports and photos on line and via cells....which isn’t a bad thing.
Then there’s people like myself that enjoy watching and seeing weather changes and think better warned is better ready.
I plug in my vehicles, relax and in the morning push snow if any fell. If you ain’t smart enough to survive nature. The mother culls you. It’s what life’s all about. Actually I need the snow. It’s what floats my boat.
Oh gosh...16 below Yikes! Hate it that low....I’m good with anything above 35. HA!
I don’t mind snow....I do however mind ice and when temperatures drop into the teens and below. When they drop even below that the cold seems to creep into my apartment. Somehow it’s just different.
Part of brainwashing. Naming hits our fear center and personalizes it.
That’s what is nice about a wood burner stove, you can be in a t-shirt at -20 below and don’t even know it’s cold outside.
