Unvaccinated people were less than one percent of recent COVID cases in New South Wales..
NEW SOUTH WALES, Australia – Vaccinated people are the vast majority of COVID-19 cases and deaths in Australia’s largest state, driving the worst surge in New South Wales since the onset of the virus.
According to the latest COVID surveillance report of the New South Wales Department of Health (NSW Health), a record spike in cases since the emergence of Omicron late last year has been overwhelmingly linked to the vaccinated.
Between November 26, 2021 and January 8, 2022, around 90 percent of people in the state who tested positive for coronavirus and whose vaccination status was known had received “two effective doses” of a COVID vaccine. NSW Health defines cases with “two effective doses” as having had a second jab “at least 14 days prior to known exposure to COVID-19 or arrival in Australia.”
When excluding children under 12 who are ineligible for the vaccines, double-vaccinated people were a stunning 98 percent of cases with known vaccination history. The unvaccinated, by contrast, were less than one percent of cases.

NSW Health specifically classifies the unvaccinated as having “no effective dose,” which also includes anyone who took the first shot of a two-dose vaccine course within 21 days of exposure to COVID or arrival in Australia.

Among patients hospitalized for the virus whose vaccination history was reported, 82 percent had received two doses – or 87 percent without taking into account kids ineligible for vaccination.
People with two jabs also made up around three-quarters of ICU patients and COVID deaths.
New South Wales has a high vaccination rate, with 91.5 percent of residents age 12 and older “fully vaccinated” as of late November. Cases have nevertheless skyrocketed to unprecedented levels in recent weeks in the western Australian state amid the record numbers of breakthrough infections.

At the height of the Delta wave in September, the state reported a seven-day average of about 1,400 cases, before most Australians were “fully vaccinated.” In early January, daily cases peaked at more than 90,000.
Coronavirus deaths in New South Wales have similarly spiked since January 8, with a current average of 40 per day, up from around one at the end of December, according to Our World in Data.
New South Wales continues to require health care workers, teachers, airport workers, and senior care workers to be “fully vaccinated,” despite evidence that the jabs are failing.

COVID-19 remains survivable and treatable for most who catch it, as the NSW Health data reaffirms. 99.4 percent of unvaccinated people 12 years old and up who tested positive for COVID in New South Wales between November 26 and January 8 have not died. Unvaccinated children under age 18 have a death rate of less than .1 percent.
“Since the start of the pandemic, 0.2% of cases (738 people) have died,” NSW Health noted. “This includes 122 residents of aged care facilities.”
New South Wales’s pandemic of the vaccinated mirrors similar COVID trends in Europe, where recent data from Denmark, the U.K., and Iceland have reported higher rates of infection among vaccinated people.
In the U.K., the unvaccinated have lower case rates than double-vaccinated individuals across all age groups older than 18 as of late January, according to the U.K. Health Security Agency. The vaccinated also dominated British COVID deaths last month, outpacing the unvaccinated nearly five to one.

Only because people with two shots here don’t count as vaccinated somehow.

I have talked to 100+ People in my condo community, who have been fully vaccinated, and can’t find ONE with serious adverse effects. I had my 1st jab in Feb 2021, 3rd jab in November 2021. I feel stronger today than a year ago.
HAHA you ask a difficult question! When near 100% of Aussies are vaccinated, only a dummy would expect unvaxxed to be crowding the hospitals.
Another ignorance prevalent on this forum is the MIS-Conception that vaccines prevent infections! It is such lack of basic common sense and non-thinking brain to reach such absurd assumption. NO VACCINE in history of mankind ever created a vaccine which builds virus proof filter in the nose. If you are breathing and there is virus material floating near you, you will inhale it, and the virus will start replicating pronto. Nothing can stop this.
Function of vaccine comes into play AFTER the infection. It is to have created anti-bodies for the virus and help kill the virus before it overwhelms body’s defenses.
Most vaccinated people get asymptomatic infections. That leads the un-thinking to believe the vaccine stopped infection.
Case in point is little old me. I had the best vaccine ever created which literally removed the 30%+ mortality rate disease from the entire world. Yet 2 years later I got infected with it and had all the symptoms of the disease. But I am still alive and kicking 72 years after the infection because the vaccine had created anti-bodies and probably why I recovered. Yes it was smallpox.

According to the Pfizer trial follow up data. The vax has a 10% spontaneous abortion result for 23 of the 270 pregnant women in the trials.

Most of these type of stories claiming the vaxed represent a bigger number than those unvaxed leave out a very important number - the vaccination rate among the population in question.
Without this number, the rest of the story doesn’t tell you much. For example, if 100% of the people are vaxed than 100% of the people who catch the virus (nobody claims the vaccine is perfect) are the vaxed. But that says nothing about the effectiveness of the vax vs not having the vax.
This article, to its credit, actually does include the percentage of the population that were vaxed. So we can actually make some judgement regarding the effectiveness of the vax. It says....

So if these numbers are correct, in a population that is 91% vaxed, those that caught the virus and were hospitalized, 87 were from the vaxed group.
This tells me that the proportion of those hospitalized is roughly the same as those who were vaxed (87% vs 91%). From this one can conclude that the vax doesn’t do much to keep you out of the hospital, but it also does not increase your chance of getting hospitalized

you can’t win with liberal liars and power drunk leaders- they will simply claim “Well ok, but there woudl be a lot more dead if we hadn’t mandated that people get vaccinated’, and since you can’t prove a negative- they get away with it
