The overarching goal of Freedom Convoy 2022 was for the federal government to declare the immediate lifting of all COVID-19 mandates across Canada.
It was, at root, a politically unrealistic demand, given that most mandates are imposed at the provincial level. But there is nevertheless a growing chorus of politicians and health experts now saying that it’s time for Canada to officially abandon extraordinary COVID-19 measures and “learn to live with” the virus.
“We have let our lives be controlled for the last two years in a significant amount of fear and now we are going to have to change some of that thinking,” Ontario’s top doctor Kieran Moore said in a public address last Thursday.
Moore added, “we can’t eliminate this threat, in fact, we have to learn to live with it.”
Eileen de Villa, medical officer of health for the City of Toronto, similarly said last Friday that residents should gird themselves for a future in which COVID-19 is managed like influenza.
“Some flu seasons are worse than others. We know it has impact on our health-care system, and yes, it does make a number of people sick, unfortunately, and yes, unfortunately some people do lose their lives to it,” she said, adding that Canadians must nevertheless “find ways of balancing other activities of life along with the control measures.”

They will never admit they are wrong.
That level of arrogance and narcissism, is
not tolerable to a free man.
I think there are so many people so invested in the COVID team sports paradigm that they’d rather die on this hill of forced vaccinations than let the other side get a win even they mostly already agreed to the idea in principle. It can’t be a situation where those dirty bad people win, it must be the good people winning.
The problem with that is, they lost all of that good will when they asked those dirty bad people for two weeks to flatten the curve. If there was any left after that, they lost it by embracing the race riots while imposing lockdowns elsewhere. The truckers have a vote, and they have a right to live their lives, and they know how to drive a double clutch. Good luck finding an obedient jackboot who can tow that out of your way.
Just stockpile the therapeutics that we know work, and get on with life.

Basically he said he's done with it, it's time to move on.
Canada is a bit ahead of the USA average, for their omicron wave. They had a big wave there, relatively speaking, and are down about 3/4 from their peak.
The reality is that it is winding down there, like it does elsewhere, after the omicron wave.
It is just time to drop the restrictions. Unfortunate that some politicians need such strong prompting to do so.

“any day” being much closer to election day when folks are paying more attention, and dementia joe’s declaration that he “defeated covid” MIGHT have more impact then ... (of course, the stark REALITY of empty shelves, no cars for sale, no houses for sale, and skyrocketing prices for daily items like food and energy are going to override pretty much all propaganda)

The pandemic no longer will allow the dems total control so now they will incite a war. Biden will then declare a national emergency and declare Marital Law. Then he will cancel elections for November because of the “danger to our democracy” and all will remain the same. Dems really have no intention of losing power. They do not care about the low polls because they never intend to have an honest election again. They do not play fair or care about the American people.
I can summarize the entire article in one short sentence.

they’re the bozos who invented the 6-foot rule, demanded masks everywhere, imposed lockdowns, invented the 10-day-isolation-period-after-a-positive-test, etc.
NONE of those measures ever had any scientific backing
the FDA (another bureaucracy) continues to denigrate Ivermectin, recommending against it ... so doctors won’t use it
