Hershey Company began firing unvaccinated office workers. Hershey is asking employees to sign a nine-page confidentiality and release agreement that removes their rights to sue or talk about their experience.
Although their signature comes with a “special separation payment,” many haven't signed the agreement and won’t get money.

But it stopped being fun after months of human resources meetings that employees say included education about the vaccines, asking if the employee had changed their mind about getting the shots, and uncomfortably invasive questions.
“I really thought I’d be OK,” Kim Durham, a payment analyst and sourcing buyer, told The Epoch Times. “I thought, you cannot question my faith. Nobody can question that.”

“I thought this was behind me until September when I met with an HR representative. It was an interrogation on your religious beliefs. They twisted your words and tried to put words in your mouth. It was terrible. I was asked such personal questions that had nothing to do with religion.”
She was shocked when, in November, she received word that her request for religious accommodation had been denied.

Everyone interviewed mentioned being troubled by similar questions during the meetings, usually held with an immediate supervisor and someone from HR, such as:
Have you ever been vaccinated? Are your children vaccinated? How do you protect yourself when you leave your home? How often do you go to church? Do you take Tylenol, Ibuprofen, Tums, or Midol? If so, how can you say that you’re truly a religious person, because a lot of those medicines also have the same ingredients as the vaccine?

One new parent submitted their baby’s birth certificate and other papers to set up insurance, and was asked why the baby had received vaccinations if the parent wouldn’t get the COVID shots.

Sue these MFs into oblivion. It’s the only way.
I complain bitterly as my wife buys Hershey bags of candy every week...now I have the ammunition to get her to go cold turkey...
unfortunately the wife had an answer...she will be switching to more expensive Lindt candies...sigh.
I wonder if their Board of Directors hold individual surety bonds that people canmake claim against, like malpractice insurance but for business. This website has info about making claims against elect and appointed public officials. DO bigwigs at publicly traded companies need some protection, too. If so, the fired people could try it on violation of civil rights, conspiracy to deny their rights.

I’ve been to the PA plant. But that was in the 90s.
Websites can lie. Could be 95% in Mexico and 5% here.
Good defense info it true.
Trader Joes “Midnight Moo” is much better syrup anyway. My local TJ employees told me there is no vax mandate there.
This boycott list keeps growing I’m liable to be malnourished.
My family member was explicitly told could not include any “vaccine is not safe, natural immunity” information (basically SCIENCE in their Exemption, nor pro-life.
Healthcare institution so they are wanting research grants and need Medicare/Medicaid money.

I think this company had a particular vindictiveness towards any employee who wanted to exercise their choice.
By little chihuahuas.
While I disagree with firing people for refusing the vaccine, it’s pretty standard to have to sign an agreement to get severance pay. I suspect those fantasizing of some later payout from litigation will soon wish they took the severance. Hershey’s will now be begging for H1-B’s from India, or maybe Biden will import some Somalis to take their jobs.
Religious interrogations!
Looken sharp Hershey
There ya go!
The Moser Roth brand of chocolates at Aldi are delicious and at a better price than Lindt. They are made in Germany and come in a wide variety. Hersheys just taste like a bag of sugar compared to European chocolate.
Hershey’s…. Off of my list. Bastards.
Maybe you haven't been there for a while. The last time I drove through the area the most common scent was manure.

I was old that too... That My objection had to be based on my deeply held religious beliefs.
It Was.
My religion is “Science”.
Good luck to my employer proving my religion isn’t “Science”.
They actually sent me the Religious Exemption form to fill out on Dec 24 and said I had to get it back to them in 3 days.
That is a good thing. Lindt has their US headquarters here in New Hampshire. They even have an outlet store in Stratham, well worth a visit if you are in the area.
Do you know of a list of jab-persistent companies? Better yet, one of companies that were doing a mandate and promptly dropped it once the Fed pressure was off?
In the meantime:
>many haven’t signed the agreement and won’t get money.
This is inaccurate. They won’t get the pittance Hershey’s is doling out — nobody offers anything to a departing employee except to cover their own selves from a much larger hit.
