What I learned from TV commercials is that if I get herpes, I get to go swimming, horse back riding, rafting, and hot women will suddenly find me fascinating
I’m talking about REAL bankers, not social justice warriors masquerading as bankers.
“Tell me, do you know of any other banks like this in this area?”
“I’m talking about REAL bankers, not social justice warriors masquerading as bankers.”
Huh? We’re talking Citicorp, Wells Fargo, etc. Who the hell is a REAL banker?
There is so much free content online
You can say that again..like 100%. About 3y ago I cut the cord. Have a firestick in 1 room and an Apple TV in the other. It’d probably cost $200+ for the premium channels you can find for free online. Still finding new stuff every month.
I’m talking community bankers. The best ones are a billion or less in total assets. The one’s you are talking about are our elitist enemies. There are still plenty of good community banks out there. I happen to work for one of them. I wouldn’t dare to business with those you named.
Huh?
What do you mean this guy lives in La La land? The author is a she, and btw so am I. At least the last time I checked.
and Products and services are tailored to specific consumer groups to increase sales and grow businesses.
Yes, La La Land. And if what they say is so, why do 80-90% of the commercials have black actors when blacks are only about 15% of the population?
Advertisements do show us the products but also spend of lot of content on woke virtue signaling.

“The poorest third of Americans buy more than half of all lottery tickets, which is why states advertise so aggressively in poor neighborhoods.”
The people doing the “study” are the racists. They think blacks are too stupid to view advertising and make their own judgments.
Banks were blamed for the sub-prime crisis in 2008 and accused of making bad loans to unqualified minorities - just a few years after being forced by the gubmint to make bad loans to unqualified minorities.
You can’t make this stuff up...
Oppressed: “Gimme da money”
Banker: “No, it is unlikely you’ll be able to re-pay it”
Gubmint: “Give them the money”
Banker: “Your first payment is overdue”
Oppressed: “You raciss!”
I first started hating Democrats when Jimmy Carter was President. But then I got in the banking business in 1980. Then the vulgar show put on by Ted Kennedy in the Senate Banking Committee and Henry Gonzalez running the House Banking Committee confirmed to me that my hatred of Democrats was well-placed and justified. Barney Frank and Chris Dodd only strengthened my disdain. The banking industry is simply used as a convenient scapegoat to misdirect attention and blame away from political corruption. We must address corruption in Washington . . . with a rope and tree if necessary. They are routinely stealing massive amounts of money from the American people.
I always mute adverts, too. I’m waiting for the advertisers to figure out a way to prevent us from muting or changing channels. If it is possible, they will find a way.
