I70 is two lane thru central Indiana.
Cars can go 70, while trucks are limited to 65.
It doesn’t take much to frustrate a Hoosier stuck behind a semi doing 65.002 trying to pass another going 64.983!
he’d like that!
He said holes...
Indoctrination and control.
“Storage is cheap and vast.”
The understatement of the year. So is communication speed and the ability to route messages from source to destination.
Well he is “married” you know...lol
It makes me shudder. And we are already there.
I read that by later this year, Communist China will have reached a goal of having installed one surveillance camera for every two people.
And we have Big Tech like Google, who is working hand in hand with the Communist Chinese government, who wants this surveillance for their own purposes as well. In the linked video below, Google describes just how they want more..."sources of information" for their "Selfish Ledger". Google would see themselves as "custodians" of people's built up "ledger", and in their words, "While the notion of a 'global good' is problematic, topics would largely focus on health or environmental impact to 'reflect Google's values as an organization."
If that doesn't make your hair stand on end, nothing would. Not your values. Not American values. Not even Western values.
Google's values.
You can hear them genially brag about this in the video "The Selfish Ledger" which is a short video made for Google Leadership but leaked to the public. And they still host it on Google, which tells me they are unafraid people will draw the "wrong" conclusions from it, and that they are quite proud of the concept.
(Bill Whittle has a great analysis on this called The Stolen Election, Pt. 2: Hiding Biden Laptop Scandal Reveals More Frightening Social Plan beginning at the 13:57 mark, but the entire video is great to watch)
So what?
Waze is a great application that works extremely well and by trying to interject anti googlism, ignore the great point that is thread relevant.
Traffic cameras are obsolete because Waze renders them useless
So what?
I think you might miss the point. (by the way, this isn’t meant at all as an insult, I just think most people haven’t given this subject the consideration it deserves)
Waze in no way renders those cameras useless, because the primary purpose of those cameras is not traffic control (which if it were, Waze could help drivers avoid) though there are many people who want to use them to obtain revenue from ticketing.
The primary purpose of those cameras is surveillance. And Waze is irrelevant to that.
Nothing personal, but if you don’t understand that, you don’t understand why all those cameras are there. I know of nowhere at all near me where those cameras are used for traffic control and enforcement. But they exist near me, and are ubiquitous. And I know this is just not my blue state. I see this in other states far removed from mine, even those that are not blue states.
There has been a great deal of money spent on those cameras, the hardware, networking, infrastructure, installation, and maintenance.
But they aren’t being used for traffic enforcement. One should ask the question: If they aren’t being used for traffic enforcement...what ARE they being used for?
Just food for thought, bert.
not food, paranoia.
Not quite.
Never mind that the NSA Director under Obama lied under oath, was not punished, for denying that the CIA was collecting data on American Citizens and storing it for use.
Not meant as an insult, by the way. We all are susceptible to that.
“They won’t fix the roads or bridges, just generate more revenue for the state.
Scum.”
The biden big government policies using trillions of dollars wrenched from tax payers to get more money from tax payers. I think I see a pattern.
You will be tracked everywhere you go. ..................... Of course, why do you think they want them? Its not about 3 mph past the speed limit. Every thing you say against them will be, its just another conspiracy theory.
