Arkansas Republican Sen. Tom Cotton said on Sunday that he would keep an "open mind" when it came to President Biden's nominee to replace Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer, adding, however, that he doubted the nominee would be someone whom the GOP could support.
"Fox News Sunday" host Dana Perino asked Cotton how he intended to approach Biden's upcoming Supreme Court nomination, noting Vice President Harris's intense line of questioning against Justice Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation hearing when she was a senator.

That Perino has to ask a nonsense question like this is why I can’t stand Fox news and especially Sunday shows.
She will be a leftist ideologue who will predictably and consistently ignore the law and facts and support the radical narrative that will be anti-American, anti-family and anti-freedom. No mystery there at all.
It seems to me that Cotton’s response here is reasonable. What would be a better response? “I’m announcing in advance that I’ll do everything in my power to derail this nomination regardless of the identity of the nominee”? As much as we wish it weren’t so, Biden is in the White House and Dems control the Senate. Hell or high water, they’ll ram through Dementia Joe’s token black-lady nominee. There’s no use foaming at the mouth about it. Keep in mind that it doesn’t really change the balance of the court as Breyer was already a reliable liberal when it counted.
Ditto what you said.
Is there anyone in the judiciary as dumb as Sonia Sotomayor, the Dumb Latina? I kinda doubt it, so it probably don’t matter.
Besides, even though it has never been done, I am quiet sure Kamel Harris will break any Senate tie.
Though, by my count, I can think of at least 5-10 Vichy-Republicans that will vote for damn near anyone Dimjo puts forward, except maybe Whoopie Goldberg.
Without reading the tea leaves or even knowing the name of the candidate revealed, Collins, Murkowski, Lindsey girl along with the fake spiritual mormon Romney will be the first ones in line to cast a vote for Brandon’s socialist POS woke racist’s nominee! Take this to Las Vegas and bet on it you’ll make tons of 💰 money!
The majority of republicans will vote for whomever the commies put up for nomination. Ask Lindsey
Cotton’s comment is EXACTLY the right sound bite for him to put out there.
What do you think he should say?
Cotton won’t support her but he’ll still vote AYE . . .
What has Biden done, in his life, that has earned him an open mind in 2022?
In my opinion, probably neither Sen. Cotton, or any other so-called, post-17th Amendment (17A) ratification “Republican” senators, are going to challenge any SCOTUS nominee with questions about Congress's constitutionally limited powers, especially Congress's limited power to appropriate taxes.
"Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States." —Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824
”From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added].” —United States v. Butler, 1936.
Also, that we've already passed a sobering milestone with respect to arguments to repeal the 17A. More specifically, regardless of the six election years from 2010 (Obama 2008) through 2020, enough elections to theoretically replace all members of Senate twice (correction welcome), we still have a career Senate evenly divided by corrupt, constitutionally undefined political parties (sigh).
WAKE UP PATRIOTS!
