Edmonton and St. Albert's mayors released a joint statement calling on an area Member of Parliament to apologize for attending the "freedom convoy" rally protest opposed to COVID-19 mandates.
Thousands of truckers and others opposing cross-border vaccine mandates and other public health restrictions rolled into Ottawa on Saturday for a rally on Parliament Hill. While police said there were no reported incidents of violence or injuries, some protesters carried signs and flags containing symbols of hate.

Apparently it is also doubleplusungood for a Member of Parliament to go down to the protest and actually LISTEN to the concerns of their constituents.

You know, I’m not really all that old (mid GenXer to be exact), but I can still remember a time, when personally going down to a protest or rally to actually TALK to your constituents, and listen to their concerns was considered one of the most important parts of a politician’s JOB that they were ELECTED FOR.

A blog friend of mine in Calgary is telling me the lefties up in Canada are saying Trump is behind these protests and that he’s bringing in MAGA supporting drivers to pose as Canadian truckers. I guess COVID isn’t the only virus to cross international boundaries.

I know…and running away and refusing to talk to them like Trudeau would have made you the subject of ridicule, possibly even removal from office, and certainly would have meant you wouldn’t get reelected.
But that was then. Now they’re praised for ignoring the voters.
It’s not a peaceful convoy, it is an INSURRECTION.
That is why ‘brave’ Trudeau had to be sheltered by security forces in light of the eminent threat presented by the peaceful convoy.
The truckers are all facing solitary confinement without representation or being charged.
The unvaccinated will likely be shot on sight on Trudeau’s order.

These Members of Parliament only make Trudeau look even more like the sniveling scumbag coward he is!
