Prayers for our troops, veterans, families, allies, friends, and Canteeners
for a safe and peaceful week ahead.
He Who blessed our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - may He bless the fighters of the Israel Defense Force, who stand guard over our land and the cities of our G-d from the border of the Lebanon to the desert of Egypt, and from the Great Sea unto the approach of the Aravah, on the land, in the air, and on the sea.
May HASHEM cause the enemies who rise up against us to be struck down before them. May the Holy One, Blessed is He, preserve and rescue our fighting men from every trouble and distress and from every plague and illness, and may He send blessing and success in their every endeavor.
May He lead our enemies under their sway and may He grant them salvation and crown them with victory. And may there be fulfilled for them the verse: For it is Hashem, your G-d, Who goes with you to battle your enemies for you to save you.
G-d bless and keep your children safe, Alouette.
Howdy, Kathy.
Did you get a nice, long sleep last night?
Good to see y’all got a break from snow today.
God Bless our military men and women who have given their all.
Thanks, unique.
Seems I have no heat from the baseboards upstairs. Checked all the rooms. COLD baseboards! So more clothes and get space heaters going. 56 in my bedroom and the office...finally up to 60 in my room. Will move space heater into office for an hour or so.
I have one of these in the living room. It's been going off and on all day. Finally up to 67.
Had to go into the office. Realized it is warmer downstairs. There is heat there. So I'm hoping it's just a valve or switch and not the whole boiler that needs to be replaced. Of course it's the weekend, but I can stay warm til Monday as long as I have electricity.
Keep the Lord’s Day in the Lord’s way.
A blessed Fourth Sunday after the Epiphany (Western)/Thirty-First Sunday after Pentecost—and Feast of the Three Hierarchs—(Orthodox) to all!
Ooooo...that doesn’t sound good. Stay warm and fingers crossed that your electricity doesn’t fail you!
Yikes! Of COURSE these things always happen on weekends when you can’t get anyone to fix them. I hope they aren’t piled up Monday and can get there quickly. Heat is a must. Space heaters help but can only do so much.
Fingers crossed for lots of luck that it’s an easy fix and you don’t have to replace the boiler.
Thanks...gonna have to wear sox to bed. LOL! So far so good at keeping spaces warm enough to be in. REALLY glad it wasn’t like the below zero temps we’ve had lately.
Will be making a service call at 8am Monday morning...name and number right in front of me. I can hear the boiler come on, but no heat to the upstairs.
Howdy, luvie.
I hope it was a nicer day there than it was here. Too durn cold but we’re grateful it wasn’t like they’ve been dealing with in the NE.
I guess the plan is to find a warm spot with the space heater and keep the door closed to keep the heat in? Sox are an excellent idea. I never take them off during cold weather. LOL!
I sure hope they can get out to your house FAST after your call! You need answers.
Hey there radu!
Yeah, it got up to about 60 today....66 tomorrow. Still not much winter here. I spent lots of the day watching snowy live streams from the NE. Glad it wasn’t AS bad where you are, but from looking at the Dale Hollow nest, it did look pretty darn chilly.
You were 30 degrees warmer than we were. The sun melted the little bit of snow we got last night but spots that were in the shade all day still have some.
They say we’ll be in the low 50s tomorrow and that will feel nice after the last two days. The temp has already gone up two degrees, with the breeze out of the south, so we might have bottomed out for the night. It was 21 an hour ago. Weird that right now it’s warmer at Dale Hollow than it is here and it’s almost in KY.
I checked out the NE a couple of times today but spent most of my computer time watching live streams of the hoedown in Ottawa.
They’re having a good time in Ottowa. LOL! And their wuss “leader” is hiding. Just like ours does. ffft!
Wednesday will be a different story here. High of 43 low of 16. More roller coaster for us. Poor kitties.
They’re having a grand time up there. My lil straw farm hat’s off to those folks braving the frigid temps. I don’t know that I could have done it. BRRRR
Wednesday is going to be our warmest day next week with the high around 60, then another cold front comes through. I reckon it’s the one that will hit you Wednesday.
The roller coaster ride that won’t end.
How's everyone doing this morning?
Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))
Another beautiful day there, I see. Gizmo looked quite happy with it.
