How great is that! I can spend more time with my family. What could possibly go wrong?

I used to work 5-11s and 5-12s and sometimes 6-12s.

What’s this 4-10 crap?

All the government has to do with that 25% hour reduction is mandate a 25% price reduction to go with it. Et Voilá! It is done!

Fortunately, I do need a second job to live comfortably. I'm paid very well for the time I put in and I get time to spend with my family.

rough-necking in west Texas, 3weeks on 1 week off. good stuff.

I've heard that's incredibly physical and dangerous. I'll bet you needed that week off.

True, but in a side note, why in the world does this need to be mandated by a government entity. Let the business owners work it out.

Folks need to start looking around

Normally when folks work a 4 day week, it’s 4 - 10 hr shifts

I have guys working for me working 4-10s. They love it. And I get great productivity out of them.

I work a 9/80 schedule. I like that also.

And all you do is off set the days off. Some get FriSatSun. Others get SatSunMon.

Always someone there. For most, Mondays suck and on Friday everyone is counting down the hours.

Lol makes me think about the earlier article on weak men wearing skirts. Four 8 hr days. What kinda wimp is that. The wife must wear the pants.

God almighty said to work 6 days......see the Ten Commandments. He worked six days to create. He didn’t need six days. He could have created all by thought in one second. But he gave us an example of how to live our lives.

Then he gave us the Sabbath. That’s in Genesis.

God don’t go for lazy people.

If we could get four days of work out of legislators, I might go for it- but on the other hand, we just might be better off with what we have now.

Of course it does... So they are going to outlaw working enough hours a week to pay for BOTH the power bill AND eat too.

If big business can get everyone to 32, it should be easy enough to shave off another 2+ hours, get them below 30, and terminate their health benefits. Sounds like a win for the mega corporations.
