it’s safe to say that we can’t – and shouldn’t – simply go back to normal, because normal wasn’t working

So we will never return to normal. Get vaccinated, wear a mask, social distance, live in fear.

Why stop at 4? Why not a 1-day work week?

Economics won’t support it . . . unless we all live in a 300 square foot house and drive a Smart Car.

Even better, force “California lawmakers” to a 0 day work lifetime and let them starve for being unemployable.

I say four 9-hour days should be enough.

32 hours? What a bunch of wimps. I’m happy working 50-60 hours if I can get it.

They still need to EAT after they pay their power bill. Even 40 hours a week is NOT enough to do that in Ca.

Is that work week going to be mandatory for everyone, including children, retirees, students, dogs, cats, goldfish, and legislators? And does everyone get a pay raise? If Democrats are behind it, most likely it includes all of that and the kitchen sink which leaks.

They will never agree to devote even 1 hour less than 168 per week in their effort to increase the costs and of doing business.

I'm currently working 4-10s as well. I love it. The workweek flies by and three day weekends are awesome.

I see no reason to be nostalgically attached to a five day work week, particularly when so many businesses are open on the weekends. 4-10s works great for a lot of people.

32 hrs per week, would work, and that equals 25% less work/productivity.

Now, if we could only get prices on everything to be reduced by 25%, we might have something there. With government in charge of dictating the hours and productivity and wages and prices, it should be doable.

I work 7 days x 10 hours, then have 7 days off. It's absolutely beautiful to have that 7 days off.

And that is exactly what they want. Everybody living in 300 sf crackerboxes in multi-story apartment buildings and driving itty bitty electric cars or using public transportation.

I am sure all the money that California forcibly confiscates from residents has nothing at all with people having to work so much and spend time away from their families.

As an employer, what you are doing makes sense. If a certain schedule works for an employer, do it, if you are going to get a more efficient employee. (Some businesses could be time restricted)

I heard the sleep specialist say he was working with a woman, and she said, "If I could work 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM, it would be so much better."

The sleep specialist called her boss and asked if she could try out that schedule. The manager said, it didn't matter, he was letting her go, but he was convinced to try it for a week.

When the sleep specialist called the next week, the first thing the manager said was, "Can you talk to a few other of my employees?"

that’s what we do. 4-10’s. However, this week was 70 in just four days. Gotta get the projects out.

Everybody must make the money baby.
God bless and keep on a rock’n.
