hese are tough days for the “antiwork” crowd. Along with bedsores, sagging muscle tone, Cheetos stains on clothing and a profound sense of unjustified entitlement, another occupational hazard for the occupationless has just emerged: Contact with the outside world.
As a result of three minutes on Fox News Channel, the I-refuse-to-be-useful crowd have just seen their movement knocked off its axis by a nuclear level of ridicule. Over on the social-media site Reddit, there are 1.7 million shiftless members of a slovenly subreddit called r/antiwork. Fox’s Jesse Watters thought the group’s outlook sounded interesting so he called up one of its leaders for a chat. What transpired went so badly for the antiwork types that I fear they won’t be able to get out of bed all weekend, although I concede that’s a moot point for the armies of the prone.
Watters asked a few not-particularly-mean questions of the leader, a transgender individual named Doreen, who . . . well, I would never want to be accused of being rude. Let’s just recap how some members of the group described one of their chiefs:

That was a ‘her’?
Well, do you know any men named “Doreen”?
Fun times! Leave aside that “Doreen” looked exactly like you would image the moderator of /r/antiwork to look (well, OK, I would have expected danger hair and problem glasses which weren’t there but every other bingo square was called), the moderator “works” as a part-time dog-walker. The ideal job? Philosophy teacher - especially critical thinking.
And step 2? Banning any criticism of the interview as “transphobia” and shutting down the sub for the rest of the day.
And step 3? The moderator was booted to be replaced by a 21-year old anarchist describing himself (gender assumed) as “long-time unemployed”.
HIS.
This person seems to have put absolutely no effort into this interview.
Really perfect. Tells the whole story. Well done.
🤣
It’s been quite entertaining following on 4chan.
I think a 36-hour standard work week should be tried.
Who decides that?
Haha!
I have never had a 40 hr work week.
For me, a comfortable work week is 50-60 hours.
I call that working a half day.
Looked and sounded like a he to me, I watched it live, lolmao the whole segment
I was never “big” on work honestly.
“Well, do you know any men named “Doreen”?”
Johnny Cash said there was a boy named Sue.
It’s not a her, it’s a him and he’s a bum that wears ugly dresses.
50 hr week seems to be my sweet spot. Don’t know why, but I find I’m most content at that level.
Years ago I worked 12 hour days for months due to staff on disability; when I returned to 9-5 it seemed like half days...
The worst part of these entitled losers is that they want to reap the same benefits as those who work; as AOC would say, if they want something, “just pay for it” (meaning we buy it for them)...
