The AR-15-style rifle that Kyle Rittenhouse used to shoot three people during a 2020 street protest will be destroyed by the state of Wisconsin and not returned.
The agreement, made among prosecutors, Rittenhouse and Dominick Black — the man who purchased the rifle — was announced Friday morning in court.

It’s what Rittenhouse wanted... I just read another news story that Kyle was going to court to get his gun back. Well, which is it?

They are treating the gun like it is Adolf Hitler.

“Lost or threw in the towel before trial?”
It was pled down to a misdemeanor, basically a $100 traffic ticket.
No felony record.

That was what the hearing was about. He needed to get possession in order to give permission for Kenosha County to destroy it. And he did. He never wanted to see it again. And he won’t. It was his deal and now it’s a done deal.

This reminds me of a 52 year old Bill Mauldin cartoon in which a mob is lynching a handgun.
A criminal is walking away saying...”They lynched my gun and let me go!”

Since the original is being destroyed, maybe PSA can offer a commemorative "Kenosha Hat Trick" model lower, with the selector positions labeled "Lefty", "Wife Beater", and "Child Molester"...

For starters it wasn’t his. Someone else bought it and handed it to him

Well then respect to Kyle for that choice. As a sensitive young man who, through some poor choices, placed himself in a position where he found it necessary to take two people’s lives to protect himself, I can’t imagine why he would want to ever see that gun again.

Symbolism over substance. They weren’t able to destroy Kyle, and that’s all that matters.

Well then respect to Kyle for that choice....I do. It was 100% his decision. Period.

I haven’t kept up on this. Is Kyle ant-gun now, or just anti the gun that helped saved his life?

Makes sense. Since dems are sure that it’s criminal guns that do the violence, they have convicted the AR-15 and sentenced it to death. Besides, it ‘s so much easier than presenting a credible case in court.

Heck, they should give him more for doing law enforcers’ work to control feral rioters. That was always my question too regarding this case- where in hell were the cops while these antifi and blm trannies we’re starting fires and rabble rousing, standing around in the donut shop scratching their bottoms?
