Three random killings — a woman pushed in front of a train, another punched at a bus stop and a third stabbed to death while working alone in a store, all allegedly committed by homeless men — have reignited anger, fear and frustration with the intractable issue of homelessness in New York and Los Angeles.

Advocates fear public outrage about the crimes has left a vulnerable population even more endangered.

So it’s Thessaloniki three murdered women’s fault

A sane person would worry about the danger that honest working citizens are in from homeless loonies.

I’m all ears, figuratively speaking, as far as, what the heck can we as a society do about these homeless?

Why didn’t we have mobs of homeless in 1960 or 1970?

why can’t we get those who are obviously messed up in the head, off the streets?

How is it compassionate, to allow homeless who have reached critical mass in places such as San Francisco, to leave deposits of you know what, on the streets, as these people have no place else to go?

Why is it that liberal places seem to have the worst of the homeless problems? Not to get so political, but liberals pride themselves on being compassionate and caring and all that. But it’s not good for the homeless people, nor good for society, to allow them to live in squalor on our streets. Yet apparently we as a society, or at least in many big cities, have decided that the problem will be handled by allowing it to fester.

The “issue” of homelessness would not exist were it not for the voting patterns of the vast majority of people in both cities. Condolences for the families of these three women. Schadenfreude for the idiot electorate.

"Concerned" liberals spent a good deal of their time in the '60s and '70s working successfully to get the nation's mental hospitals closed for "humanitarian" reasons.

And here we are.

America is not a sane country. Government is highly ideological, bloated and politically corrupt. It ignores the needs of society. We paper over our problems with debt.

As someone who volunteered at a soup kitchen for several years before covid, it’s pretty obvious most homeless are more crazy than poor. It’s a real problem but difficult to fix.

” the intractable issue of homelessness in New York and Los Angeles.”

Intractable my foot. The issue could be solved if there was a will to do it. The fact is that the powers-that-be want it that way, or don’t give a damn. But the issue is far from
intractable.

Raise risk for HOMELESS people????

FTA...

...Three random killings — a woman pushed in front of a train, another punched at a bus stop and a third stabbed to death while working alone in a store,...

The above were NOT homeless! They were most likely hard working, law abiding citizens....whose murderers have been given a pass, by these freak cities.

Socialist journalism classes are on full display, now.

I think they must also write for Ginger Goebbels.

***Why didn’t we have mobs of homeless in 1960 or 1970?***

Actually we did but Vagrancy laws kept them spread out with many in mental institutions at that time.
I remember the bums, tramps, and hobos in Tulsa OK, Marysville CA and other places back then.

Closing the mental institutions and removal of vagrancy laws was one of the worst things that ever happened.

The bums then flooded the libraries and free museums in the hot summer to take advantage of free Air conditioning.

The Museums started an entrance fee which kept the bums out, but the libraries were full of them piled up and taking up all the chairs and sleeping.
One library in downtown Tulsa had to close it’s third floor because of bedbugs.

There’s a good theory that the homeless population exploded when mental institutions were emptied of “nonviolent” crazy people.

Yep. No more government run mental hospitals in California. Now the state just gives the mentally ill an EBT card and free monthly med scripts. No treatment and no monitoring. Just let them roam free like animals in the wild.

This all a product of the liberals dating back to the 1970/s when they closed the Mental Hospitals. Why is it Democrats always try to fix what they perceive as a problem and always cause worse problems?
