The Trailer: San Francisco’s school board recalls are tearing Democrats apart

SAN FRANCISCO — The black and yellow signs were hard to miss, their message spelled out in English and Cantonese: “Vote YES to Recall the School Board.” Volunteers with the Chinese American Democratic Club urged shoppers to get registered for the Feb. 15 election, telling them why three members of the city’s school board — all Democrats — needed to be removed from office. Yung Chen, 73, was already convinced. “Martin Luther King’s speech, I believe in that: Don’t judge people by racers ,” he said. His grandson, he explained, nearly missed out on a spot at the high school he’d tested into, and the school board was responsible. “He just barely passed the line, and if he wasn’t a Chinese boy, he’d pass it very easily.”

Next month’s recall elections, the first-ever attempts to remove members of San Francisco’s school board, have exposed new, stark political divisions in a city where Joe Biden won 86 percent of the vote, where Vice President Harris and Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) began their careers, and where House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D) carries every precinct.

And everyone, from the recall’s proponents to the outspent campaign to protect the three incumbents, agrees that a board vote to replace merit-based admissions at Lowell High School mobilized parents and alumni. As a new lottery system lowered the number of Asian and White students while admitting more Black and Latino students, alumni joined the effort to recall board President Gabriela López, Vice President Faauuga Moliga and former board vice president Alison Collins.

“There was this groundswell of anger in the community about closed schools, and we worried that it was going to get turned back on families,” said Autumn Looijen, 44, who launched the recall campaign a year ago with her partner, Siva Raj, 49…

Republicans should have started attacking leftist school boards decades ago. Home and private schools alone won’t save America from the rottenness.

(Full article here...i hope it works).

Interesting article. But, when it all boils down to it...it's just liberals eating liberals.

“Raj and Looijen (recall instigators) have also kept national politics away from the race, emphasizing their own liberalism. They decided to move back to the city, they said, after celebrating Joe Biden's 2020 victory in the streets. They'd opposed the 2021 recall attempt against Gov. Newsom — millions of dollars, noted Looijen, were spent telling Democrats that recalls were illegitimate by design."

The Demonicrats should not be torn apart. The Demonicrats should be tried, convicted, and sentenced to be publicly hanged for abortion genocide, child abuse, crimes against humanity and treason.

I started attacking public schools decades ago. All I did was get twisted looks from people who thought I was from another planet, even people who were otherwise conservatives. I finally gave up and just mock people who use those schools and then complain about them, basically telling them that they chose ‘lifestyle’ and ‘keeping up with the Jones’ over protecting their kids. And where I work, I know what the people are paid and what job benefits they get, so the usual excuse that they ‘cannot afford’ the alternatives is a flat-out lie. They CHOOSE to subject their kids to that crap...and then wonder why their 28 year old kids are still talking about changing majors at community college.

Hardworking Asian families who nearly always emphasize education hard work in their children are learning they were always just a means to an end with Democrats. It was never about Asians and their concerns. It was always just about their votes.
