Exactly! No companies have excuse to implement their own mandate. My work takes federal contracts and private company contracts, state government contracts. With the federal contractor mandate on hold, my work decided to go ahead with their own mandate because they say they can do that as a private company.
Brandon gave them a perfect excuse!
I’m sorry to hear your employer was one of the ones imposing vaccination mandates.
As a government contractor, we were required to prepare for the mandate to take affect. There were a few emails from the HR department, but fortunately we have not actually had to supply proof of vaccination yet.
I personally got the J&J shot last May, but I drew the line at that.
We are in New York State, so we just have to see how it all plays out.
