So, yes, Biden may get to nominate a pick for the Supreme Court. But there’s no guarantee that the full Senate will take it up. After all, McConnell successfully rejected Merrick Garland’s nomination in 2016 and waited for Donald Trump to win the White House to install a replacement for Antonin Scalia.
Poor Rats ... Poor Brandon ... looks like they won't get their chance to pander to the loony left ... and it won't be so quite easy to rewrite the Constitution !!
Trust the plan.
This take is dumber than dogshit. The Over/Under on GOP Senators to confirm Judge Brown Jackson is +/-15: Bishop Dullard, Collins, Shelby, Murkowski, Burr, Portman, Lee, McSally, Crapo, Barrasso, Daines, Scott, Perdue, Gardner, and Miotch.
They are dreaming. Biden’s pick will be approved.
Rs won’t pull out all the stops while replacing a lib with a lib. Balance of the SC doesn’t change much at all.
Leotard Lindsey will fall all over himself to vote for whoever the nominee is and no matter how radical.
It’s the Republicans. They’ll step on their Johnsons just trying to sit still.
Paging Senator Romney, Senator Collins.....
Yes they will, the republicans will vote to help the rats
I can see Schumer finding some excuse to dismiss a Republican from the committee.
Don’t tell the Dhimmicraps, but there is a way around the 60 votes that doesn’t involve nuking the filibuster — the two speeches rule. Senators are allowed only two speeches a day. If you never adjourn, it’s the same “legislative day.” You essentially stop the clock.
“Editor’s Note: The original version of this story incorrectly stated that Republicans could use Senate rules to block a Biden Supreme Court nomination. It was based on the author’s incorrect analysis of a May 13, 2021, Congressional Research Service report. The Senate will require a majority of votes to approve Justice Stephen Breyer’s replacement, not 60 votes.”
