Like an air-horn blast at summer camp, the news of 83-year-old United States Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer’s imminent retirement is calling Democrats to attention. For the first time since 2016, when then-President Barack Obama tried and failed to appoint Merrick Garland to the bench, a Democratic president has the chance to fill an open seat on the Supreme Court, and this time around, he will likely be successful. But who will President Joe Biden choose? We know that his nominee will almost certainly be a woman. In 2020, then-candidate Biden vowed that he would respond to a Supreme Court opening by nominating a Black woman. Dozens of candidates are being talked about, but nearly all of the Court watchers I interviewed for this story have their money on one in particular: Ketanji Brown Jackson.

Why not a black, trans-WOMAN. After all aren’t trans-women better at being a woman than an actual woman? Just sayin.
Tara Reade is advocating for Anita Hill.
I think he appoints Kamala. Great way to unload her while making it look like a promotion.
You’re right, the Republicans lay down and let them have whoever they want. I don’t recall a dim nominee for SC ever having a hearing like Bork, or Thomas, or Kavanaugh or ever Barrett. Nothing comes close.
Why? Because of the black or woman part of your comment? (-;
Look for the most liberal black woman out there who is a lawyer and is below 50-55 years old.
Biden is supposedly leaking African American Support, he will try to get that shored by November by going black and going hard liberal.
Is Stacey Abrams a lawyer ?? She would be an ideal candidate for the Supreme Court if she was a lawyer.
You have to be strategic here. Let the Democrats have this one. Is it worth being called a “racist” and a “sexist”? No. So McConnell will tell his fellow Senators to vote his “conscience”.
Can you imagine the kinds of emails, texts and phone messages he has been getting?
Everything except a Kangaroo (court) Head left on his doorstep.
Bongino had a very good argument against Kamala today. He said she’d never make it through any questioning, because of how she’s handled the press lately with her idiotic, and juvenile answers. She’d fall apart under harsh scrutiny. Besides, kamala knows that it’s a matter of time until she’s president. Brandon has to make it three more years, and at this rate I don’t see how he can.
Until Bork, it used to be that. You're the President. You get to pick the nominees. We get to "advise". Only if there's a "red flag" would we dare to reject. I think that is what it should be. Except for rare ocassions like when FDR tried to pack the court.
She’s not eligible. She farted in high school
Kamala => Supreme Court
Hillary => VP
Biden => Gone
Hillary => President
Pelosi => VP
Maybe Barack?
😂🤣 Both comments.
Stacey Abrams (48) is morbidly obese. She's already got one foot in the grave. In ten years, she'll be riddled with health complications related to her being a gluttonous hambeast. The other two are just too damn old, 72 and 83 respectively.
The larger concern is Susan Rice as the new VP and new Prez inside 6 months, as she pulls the 25th Amendment.
“Honestly, does someone here think Breyer honestly changed his mind after saying he won’t retire for a long time now?”
Who cares, he’s retiring.
Why he’s retiring doesn’t matter.
Hill is 65, too old.
“Bongino had a very good argument against Kamala today. He said she’d never make it through any questioning, because of how she’s handled the press lately with her idiotic, and juvenile answers. “
Maybe, but will she get hard questions? She is a former member of the Senate Club, and that group has always protected their own.
