He should have done. These despicable people have made it very clear they want to put Trump supporters in their gulag without bail.
Nothing wrong with taking the Fifth. I had commie relatives who did this in the 1950s
Alex Jones did the smart thing here
When the commies put on a show trial, saying “hi” will be used as evidence of your guilt.
You’d have to be an idiot to appear; but if forced, of course you would say as little as possible. Anything said will, WILL, be twisted, truncated, or outright lied about [cf Schiff’s recitation of the Trump call]. Never understood why refusing to give your persecutors weapons to falsely attack you is a bad thing.
As for the Alex Jones bashers, the dude is an exuberant showman and says things that are wacko. So the f*ck what. How many of Jones’ “conspiracies” came true? [answer: VAXX passports is one] He’s been proven to be more prescient than 99% of the “pundits” on TV.
Nor am I a fan of his show. He did the right thing by pleading the 5th almost 100 times. Too bad he didn’t do it 200 times.
Important life lesson. Hopefully some folks noticed.
Yes he is a bit over the top, but what the world does he have to do with January 6th? Just because as a reporter he was there? Who else are they going to drag before this kangaroo court?
I’m listening right now. I am a fan - but he’s not my favorite person. He’s not 100% honest. It might be to protect sources.
That's almost certainly a lie. He probably asserted his constitutional right against self-incrimination. Once. They kept asking the question in violation of said rights, and he reiterated his assertion....about a hundred times or so.
It is his legal right not to say anything that would get him into trouble with those who want to destroy him. It’s smart to “take the fifth.”
Oh come on, imagine how bored and outraged Lizard and sobbing little Adam were.
As should anyone who appears before that anti-constitutional committee.
Anything they say will be held against conservatives.
Wise move. Don’t need an attorney if you assert your 5th Amendment right against the possibility of self incriminating.
In fact, you don’t have to say anything. Don’t have to take the oath, or even verbally assert your right to remain silent. Just bring a book to read until they just give up and dismiss you.
I’ve heard his name many times, but I don’t really know who or what he is about.
Kudos for not feeding the creeps of 1/6 any food.
If he didn’t enter the building, then the only thing they can charge him with in inadvertent perjury. He’s better off saying nothing.
This is unsurprising. I’d whow up in front of a kangaroo court like this and do nothing but state my name a hundred times.
My opening statement would be ‘You people disgust me in every way imaginable.’ That would be the entirety of it.
Jones learned from the best.
