Jim Acosta is a “entertainer wannabe”. He wants the same limelight and adoration that a Hollywood A-List gets. Unfortunately he can't act, do comedy (at least not deliberately!), sing or play an instrument adequately enough so you would listen to him. All he can do is portray knowledge he doesn't have, show false concern & seriousness to gain viewer empathy he doesn't merit. Unfortunately our MSM give him a platform to showcase this and so he has a facsimile of the entertainment fame he wants. He also is allowed to fool himself into thinking that he has some sort of “talent”!

All these newsies are nothing but “famous entertainer wannabes!”. Its nothing but a form of entertainment that has the public fooled into thinking they're supplying critical information. When that happens its either highly controlled to get the reaction that want or its an accident! You say that it's not a good analogy “news to entertainment” ! What would happen if someone like Acosta had low ratings cost his network market share? He would be gone or at least hosting a 3AM Home Shopping Network Show!
