A 31-year-old man has been removed from the heart transplant list at a Boston hospital because he is refusing to get the COVID-19 vaccine, his family said.
DJ Ferguson was first on the list to receive the transplant at Brigham and Women’s Hospital — but he is no longer eligible because of his vaccination status, CBS Boston reported
His father, David Ferguson, said his son — who is fighting for his life in the hospital and is in desperate need of the transplant — doesn’t believe in the COVID-19 vaccine.
“It’s kind of against his basic principles, he doesn’t believe in it. It’s a policy they are enforcing and so because he won’t get the shot, they took him off the list of a heart transplant,” David told the outlet....
...The health system said the driving force behind its vaccine policy was studies showing transplant patients are more likely to die if they contract COVID-19. The mortality rate for transplant patients who get COVID is more than 20 percent, according to UCHealth.

The medical establishment has used covid as an excuse to gain control over life and death of patients. It was something the left had always wanted.
Under government-run healthcare the government decides who lives and who dies.
Now they have the power. They will never let go of it, even when covid has faded from memory.

This is stupid. If the donor is negative, there shouldn't be a problem.
At this rate, you're going to see an alternate health system grow in the United States. And hopefully, any hires are screened carefully so the stupid doesn't start plaguing that system as well.
Transplants usually require drugs to suppress immunity to ward-off rejection by the body, so doctors want their transplant candidates to pre-vaccinate as much as possible. This makes sense when the supply of transplant organs must be rationed to those most likely to survive.

How does this factor in the hard data that vaccinated people are more likely to contract and die of COVID-19 per multiple international studies? This is politics put before patent welfare. Those promoting such policies should be censured and their licenses suspended.
Medicine may be an art but opinions unsupported by facts should not be the basis for care or the absence thereof.
My husband had a heart transplant going on twelve years ago. He was dying, it is that simple. Had he been given the choice of vaccine vs. death, he would have taken the vax. This guy needs to take a good look at his family and decide whether he wants to die because of a failing heart or getting a chance at life.. In reading the article, there are some inconsistencies, one being that there is no such thing as “First, on the list”
When the vax first came out and COVID was rampant we talked to the heart transplant doctor at our management hospital about getting vaccinated. She agreed the vax was experimental but said, “if you could see the horrible way people are dying of COVID, you would take the chance on the shot.”
That was my exact thought as well. These hospital administrators should be tried for murder and executed. This is nothing less than murder.
And it seems to be lacking in much detail as to the actual status of the patients. Are they patients who are “near death”, just waiting in the hospital for their new organ, and then they get Covid, and die? What percentage of those patients are vaccinated? Or are they transplant patients who just got their new organs, after having been vaccinated in the past, and they are still getting past the early rejection phases, and get Covid and die, while they are still in the ICU, post-op?
Such compassion from the “party that cares”.
Makes sense if the vaccines actually worked, but they DO NOT!
