New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham (D) announced Wednesday she will be asking National Guard members and state employees to become certified to fill in as substitute teachers as teacher staffing shortages continue to skyrocket.
Along with “encouraging” National Guard members and state employees to become licensed substitute teachers, the governor’s “Supporting Teachers and Families” (STAF) initiative will allow state workers to use administrative leave to temporarily fill the vacancies.

They aren't just sitting on their butts between drills.
The National Guard are teachers, nurses, and riot police against conservatives. They don’t do policing of left wing riots.

National Guard needs to tell them NO.
They are not their hospital staff, substitute teachers, back-fill traffic cops, etc.
If the local or state government screws something up they can not be allowed to “fix” it with repeated trips to the National Guard well.
Time for them to walk the road they paved.

They could teach the kids real skills. I worked briefly at a camping store, the manager thought it would be great for each employee to show others how to use gear. Had a retired member of the 82nd Airborne demonstrate how to kill the enemy with an entrenching tool. End of show and tell.
