Questions to ask squishy politicians running for Texas office
David Treibs

Posted on 01/23/2022 5:30:55 PM PST by David Treibs

Questions to pin your political candidate:

What news or information sources are most important to you personally?

What's your plan of action to stop all illegal crossings of our border, even if the feds refuse to do anything, and tell us that we, as Texans, can't do anything about it?

What will you do when the federal judiciary/supreme court strikes down your plan?

What will you do in your jurisdiction when airlines or buses, probably sent by the feds, filled with illegal aliens arrive in your jurisdiction?

Around 2017, HB 948 was proposed in the Texas legislature to criminalize all abortion in Texas, and to ignore whatever federal courts, orders, injunctions, etc that would have sought to overturn it.  Would you support another such bill, or a federal one?

In 2020 Gov. Greg Abbott illegally and unconstitutionally shut down Texas businesses.  Please give us some evidence that you spoke out against this grievous shutdown.  What actions did you take to defend individuals and businesses targeted by Abbott's measures?

What is your response to the following from the Texas Constitution, and how did it apply to Abbott's shutdown of Texas in 2020: "Sec. 29. BILL OF RIGHTS EXCEPTED FROM POWERS OF GOVERNMENT AND INVIOLATE. To guard against transgressions of the high powers herein delegated, we declare that everything in this "Bill of Rights" is excepted out of the general powers of government, and shall forever remain inviolate, and all laws contrary thereto, or to the following provisions, shall be void."

Should Democrats hold any committee chairs in the Texas legislature?

The Democrats have signaled that they intend to pack the Supreme Court, so they can push through every radical item in their agenda.  Do you have the understanding and wherewithal to defy unconstitutional (Texas and US Constitutions) judicial actions?

The Democrats are planning to federalize elections, including forcing states to allow large-scale mail-in ballots, to eliminate voter ID, and take other measures to ensure all future elections can be stolen.  Give some evidence that you have the wherewithal to defy these efforts.

Explain the concept of a "lesser magistrate," and how you intend to apply the concept to the office you are seeking to defend our lives, liberty, and prosperity.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement:  the Nov 3, 2020 election was stolen.  Trump won the election.  If you agree, what are you doing to fix it?

Is Joe Biden the President of the United States?

Do you believe electronic voting machines are inherently corrupt and should be replaced with only paper ballots?

Is government's purpose to secure liberty, or should it "balance" liberty with safety?

Does any level of government have the authority to force masks, "vaccines," quarantines, close businesses, restrict assemblies, or take other measures against those with no symptoms of a dangerous, contagious disease?

Under what conditions do you suspend any Texas or US Bill of Rights?  An epidemic?  Terrorist attack?  Natural disaster? Other?

When any level of government sends enforcement agents to enforce red flag laws, or gun confiscation, or gun registration in your area, what will you do to stop them?

Down which trail should Fauci/Biden take a hike, and into which lake should they go jump, and at which beach should they pound sand?

If you made it this far, I'm the Republican Precinct 13 Chairman in Gillespie County, Texas.

If you have ideas for other questions, please send them to me.  I'm looking to differentiate between those who claim to have conservative values, and those who are going to actually do something that will actually make a difference.

You are confronted in the desert by a Democrat and a rattlesnake.

Which one do you shoot first?

Replace all those with one question. “Was the 2020 election stolen?”

Whatever happens in Texas people had better be careful. The Dems want that state blue for easy White House access. They also want the open borders. All the cities - well Austin, San Antonio and Houston ate sick with lib leadership and constituents. You get some liberal in there and I am NOT talking about Beto I mean a guy who says he’s GOP, has no known past, has no real inner circle, talks a big game and works for the Bushes and you have a problem

Big problem. You’d miss creepy lazy Abbott in two months time for the next 50 years.

How about a 5 Year freeze on Property tax increases for Houses where no improvements have been made?

Why do my Property Taxes have to double because Californians and Newyorkers just have to move here?

the 10% per year cap just means your property taxes won’t go up more than 77% in 5 years.

I’d prefer something like a tax that is applied only when the property is sold, instead of a yearly fee.

A yearly fee is fine if it only goes up 3% max per year.

Tax assements going up 64% in 5 years for a house that has had zero improvements done to it is Criminal.

Texas turns Blue when Democrats realize this.

As I’ve said about terrorists “good thing they are stupid” but they all aren’t stupid.

I was in SC when they replaced the Republican Gov because the Democrat blamed him for taking the Confederate Flag off the statehouse, so they don’t even have to believe what they say, they just have to recognize the criminality of the Texas Property tax system.
