In the two years since that first confirmed case, the virus has torn through the U.S. with a ferocity and duration few anticipated. The human toll is staggering, with more than 860,000 people dead and more than 69 million total infections. Hospitals around the nation have been pushed to the breaking point with more than 4 million admissions of confirmed Covid patients since August 2020, when the CDC started tracking hospitalizations. The hospital admissions are an undercount because they do not include the wave of cases that first hit the U.S. in the spring 2020 when hospitals were caught flat footed and testing was inadequate.
Though the U.S. now has effective vaccines and therapeutics to fight Covid, the future course of the pandemic remains uncertain as the virus mutates into new variants that are more transmissible and can evade vaccine protection. The highly contagious omicron variant has pushed infections and hospitalizations to record highs across the globe this month, a shock to a weary public that wants a return to normal life after two years of lockdowns, event cancellations, working from home and mask and vaccine mandates.

Really, worse than any one imagined? Yeah, I guess if you are talking about governmental over reach, it is far worse. Where are 2.2 million deaths in the US in the first 6 months? Where the 100’s of million dead around the world? Those were the numbers being tossed about 2 years ago!
Take the media’s number and throw it back in their face.
The point is, the numbers indicate that not only have the vaccines not worked but they have made the situation worse.
More people have died and more people have become infected over the last year with the vaccines available than the first year of Covid when no vaccine existed.
The lies, the corruption, the tyranny, the child and elderly abuse, the medical malpractice, the economic destruction.... and most of all, the blind, foolish obedience, are all worse than anyone could have imagined.
The virus itself, not so much.

Riddle me this CNN - How is it that there are any “homeless” in any major city of the US?
Here you have a group of people living on the edge, many with pre-existing medical conditions, on drugs, poor diet, poor living condition and yet they seem to be thriving. If this virus was as deadly as we have been told there should not be a “homeless” person left on the streets of San Francisco.

All the "official" sources tell that this "worse than what you were thinking" pandemic has resulted in "official" Covid deaths in the sourced amount of 0.070% of the global population.
The "official" narrative is NOT based on the "official" data, but the "official" posters of conclusions about the "official" data get contentious when the "official" numbers are cited from "official" sources.
