A federal court in Texas has issued an injunction against President Biden’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate for the federal workforce, pausing implementation of a requirement for more than 2 million civilian servants.

Judge Jeffrey Brown, appointed by President Trump to the U.S. Court for the Southern District of Texas, said the case was not about whether individuals should be vaccinated or even about federal power generally.
“It is instead about whether the president can, with the stroke of a pen and without the input of Congress, require millions of federal employees to undergo a medical procedure as a condition of their employment,” Brown wrote. “That, under the current state of the law as just recently expressed by the Supreme Court, is a bridge too far.”
The Supreme Court last week struck down a Biden order that would have required private sector employers with more than 100 workers, and the U.S. Postal Service, to test or vaccinate their employees. The federal employee case was brought by Feds for Medical Freedom, which filed three different lawsuits against the mandate.

Based on how the SC ruled for the healthcare workers. They might end up ruling the same way here. Hopefully I’m wrong though.

Typically, Trump would always lose in the lower courts, but win in the higher courts. It appears that Biden has the exact opposite problem. 🤣
This is all so confusing. So does this affect the healthcare companies that receive fed funding that SCOTUS refused to stay a week or so ago?
The UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is a corporation just like any other private corporation. So all employees of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA are afforded the same protections as any other private corporation.
Sometimes I think the confusion is the goal. Almost everyone I know is going slightly mad. It’s total chaos. Everything is arbitrary and the rules change constantly. People were not made to live this way.

I worked for the DoD for 31 years at the same facility....and of all the excoworkers I’m still in touch with its a grand total of ZERO wanted a covid shot.

The question isn't so much that as much as it is "how many would be willing to detach themselves from the government teat to stand up for what they believe in?"
That number is much smaller than one would hope regardless of the issue you're talking about.
Or they might rule this one for Federal workers gets thrown out ... but the military one stays.
So people who were coerced to take the jab under threat of being terminated will be compensated, right? That was sarcasm and the bastards pushing this all need to die.
I also worked for the DoD and in my office , which leaned red surprisingly, the majority took the shot. A handful didn’t want it but by now I imagine they have all succumbed. Good jobs weren’t easy to find in the high desert.
