Gov. Ron DeSantis remains vague about whether he received the COVID-19 booster shot.
In Sarasota Friday, the Governor was asked whether he had gotten the booster, a question he evaded previously, and he suggested yet again he may not have gotten the shot.
“So that’s something that I think people should make their own decisions on. I’m not going to let that be a weapon for people to use. I think that’s a private matter,” DeSantis said before turning the question as a cudgel against the Joe Biden administration.
“The FDA recommended against boosters for people in my age group, and the CDC overrode that,” DeSantis continued. “And I think that was based on politics.”
The Governor said two top FDA people resigned because of that.
“Many people didn’t hear about that. You know why? Because it didn’t fit the narrative. If you had a President of a different party, that would have been hair on fire stuff.”

DeSantis should say he will tell them once Biden gives a list of medications he is on along w the results of a cognition test.
That’s not a dodge.
It’s an appropriate answer under the circumstances.
It’s not his fault informed consent is fricking impossible.

I don’t care if Governor DeSantis had the booster or didn’t. I care that he is stnding frim on not mandating it for anyone else.
There has got to be a Republican on the national stage who will tell the obvious truth about the vaxx and boosters, “No, I have not had the booster because the damn thing doesn’t work!”.

If you are a politician and you publicly call for people to get COVID vaccines, then your entire medical file should be a matter of public record. Otherwise, just shut the hell up and leave us alone.
It’s a poll tested political tap dance from DeSantis. I expect better from my governor. DeSantis is making public policy on this issue. He absolutely should tell voters where the rubber meets the road.
We need to stop calling the shot a vaccine because it obviously isn’t.
