This shameless political persecution may be enough to separate the congressman from Joe Biden sufficiently that he could win reelection as a Democrat. Right now Biden’s poll numbers are so low that any rational Democrat politician would rather have Joe Biden’s administration raid their home than endorse their candidacy!
