FBI agents searched the Texas home and campaign headquarters of longtime United States Representative Henry Cuellar as part of a ‘court-authorized’ investigation after the Congressman made critical remarks about how Democrat Joe Biden and the Democrat administration are handling the unfolding crisis at the southern border between his state and Mexico.
Cuellar is seen by associates as the most outspoken Democrat critics of the Biden administration’s border policy.
Cuellar is considered a moderate and considered one of the most conservative representatives in the Democratic caucus, and he responded to media reporters that he would cooperate with the FBI.
Cuellar’s social media shows that he supports legislation friendly to both parties, including securing the US Border, employment growth, religious freedom, and the Democrat fantasy voting rights bill, which he voted to pass.
The news of the FBI raid on his properties comes days after Cuellar tweeted out his support of US Borders and Custom Patrol and Torah Values for religious freedom:

News of the legal trouble for Cuellar is being seen as suspicious by his supporters. However, the FBI would not comment to the media about the focus on their investigation on Cuellar, saying only that it was an “ongoing” investigation.
Federal agents were seen inside and around Cuellar’s mansion in Laredo on Wednesday, where they took photos of trucks parked in the circular drive out front, The Monitor reported.
FBI agents were seen loading boxes, bins, bags, and a computer from Cuellar’s home into their vehicles.

The FBI also executed a separate search at the same time at an office where Cueller’s campaign is headquartered on Washington and Davis Avenue in Laredo, reported KGNS News.
In a statement, the FBI remained tight-lipped about the reason for the visit, but confirmed that it was part of an ‘ongoing investigation.’
‘The FBI was present in the vicinity of Windridge Drive and Estate Drive in Laredo conducting court-authorized law enforcement activity,’ a Bureau spokesperson said. ‘The FBI cannot provide further comment on an ongoing investigation.’
Cuellar, a nine-term Democrat who has harshly criticized the Biden administration over its border policies, vowed in a statement to cooperate with any probe.
News of the raid happens within one day of approval polls showing that Biden is seen as a failure by most American voters, and at a time when even Democrats are being critical of the administration’s shift too far to the left in the advancement of far-left progressive policies.

Right now Biden’s poll numbers are so low that any rational Democrat politician would rather have Joe Biden’s administration raid their home than endorse their candidacy!

IMO, the FBI has always been a bunch of gangsters who used gangster tactics to target gangsters. They’ve morphed, though. Now they’re just politically-weaponized enforcers of far-leftist goals of the Democrat Party, it’s upper echelons to be precise.
I don’t know if I would criticize him for picking Wray as he was naive about the level of corruption in Washington, but he sure as hell should be criticized for not firing Wray after that Roger Stone clown show arrest where Wray alerted CNN and brought an army with him to arrest Stone in the middle of the night in his underwear, clearly a highly partisan attempt to harm Trump.
Trumps biggest mistake was underestimating just how far and wide the deep state went. It’s pretty much EVERYONE who is corrupt and that’s why they got away with the 2020 election theft and why his two attorney generals Sessions and Barr did absolutely nothing. Think about it: We had an attempted coup against a sitting President and they did NOTHING

More evidence that the ravening pack is eating its own as predicted but somehow when Democrats apply police state tactics ruthlessly against their own it is more frightening than when they do it to us.
Granted, there is no honor among thieves but this means that there is no restraint at all when it comes to preserving and enhancing their political power. If they will not stay their hand when it comes to their own, there is nothing they will not do to us. There is nothing they will not do for self-preservation and nothing they will not do for ideology. No constraint of conscience or decency will give them pause.
It means as you say, we have entered a new phase.
