A gay couple were stunned to be told they could not buy their dream house in Surrey from a devoutly Christian couple - because of their sexuality.
When they tried to arrange a viewing through internet estate agents Purplebricks, they were refused and sent astonishing references to fire and brimstone Bible passages by the couple.
Luke Whitehouse and his ITV producer partner Lachlan Mantell spotted a £650,000 ($880k), three-bed, semi-detached cottage as they looked to get on the property ladder.
The vendors, builder Luke Main, 33, and his wife, Cambridge University medical physicist Dr Joanna Brunker, 34, refused to let Luke and his partner even view the house, let alone buy it, because they were gay.
They cited passages from the Bible and said they could not sell the house to 'two men in a partnership.'
Now the online property giant has removed the ad from their site, telling the Mains that their message to Luke and his partner was 'completely opposed' to the firm's values.
Fuming Luke, 34, told MailOnline: 'Initially for the first 10 seconds I laughed. I thought it was a joke.
'But then I was upset and angry and I had a cry on the phone to my mum. Homophobia still exists, it is still out there. I did not see it coming. I was blindsided by it.'

This couple did not show love for the sinners.

I suggest you actually read the Bible and find out who God is. Your God is the man or woman in the mirror.
Now I could just have stayed silent as you wish that couple had, and let you and them (the homosexual couple)go to hell. And you very possibly still might. But accepting Jesus Christ as your savior is the only way you get to heaven. And you first have to repent from sin in order to do that. If nobody is willing to tell homosexuals that then they are the ones that don’t love those sinners.
My reference is the word of God in the Bible. If you have a better one please let me know.
I see too many churches with rainbow flags. That's going overboard with the "love" thing.
Jesus said some pretty "hurtful words" to a lot of people. Sometimes love requires speaking "hurtful words" of truth. Love might also requiring shunning prideful sinners, to get the message across.
Yes, we all sin. But there's a difference between repentant sinners who acknowledge sin. And unrepentant sinners who take Pride! in their sin.
This couple loved the sinners enough shared the truth about sin with them.
Its their house. They can sell it to whoever they like.
Its a bit rich coming from a bunch of people who force people out of their jobs for not taking a dangerous vaccine.
If someone refused to sell me a house (like I would ever have the money for something like that!) and cited the bible as a reason, I would never stop laughing.

Glad to see the term “homosexual” used in the article title and not “gay.” Let’s see that word used all the time when referring to those group of people.

Craven is an apt name for the author. He makes believe he hasn’t encountered these references and a million others like them.

I will not buy a cake from a Gay business owner.
Pointing out to a sinner their sin is a requirement, for they may not know they are sinning. If you do not, then their sin is upon you as well. If you inform them of their sin and they continue to sin, they are lost but you are saved.

You may think their manner of delivery could have been more compassionate, the fact they informed these people of their sin is a requirement of a Christian. Sadly too many “Christians” are lost themselves because they refuse to speak the truth to a sinner.
There was absolutely nothing unloving or harsh in what they told the “homosexual” couple. And how is not selling to them somehow “punishment”? And calling them “jerkoffs”? You show a lot more hate in your response then they did in theirs.
I think you both really need to look into your heart to see where those responses of yours is coming from.

Sinners who love their sin have massively warped views if love and peace.
Trying to reason with such is futile because they already believe so many lies.
