Cruise line and tourism hit?
Florida is a service economy. A lot of food service jobs disappeared permanently. Disney cut a lot of positions permanently.
My opinion FWIW
If they’ve not already passed it, they will soon. Recent job growth is ~25% of all jobs nationwide, per this article from Dec 17, 2021:
https://floridapolitics.com/archives/481058-ron-desantis-jobs/
Florida has gained back 91.2% of the jobs lost since Feb. 2020.
The Governor noted Friday in Ocala that 210,000 were created nationally in November...The state by state numbers came out and Florida’s reporting creating on its own 51,100 jobs out of that 200,000...
You beat me to it.
I think South Dakota reached pre-pandemic unemployment levels at the very end of May 2021.
big tourism state
big seasonal jobs state
massive hits with travel halted
That was my question.
LOL
Love it!
Wondering where NH is.
It’s my understanding that we have had very little economic disruption from our few weeks of lockdowns.
Why? It's simple: Freedom!
In Florida, you feel free. Not only do you not pay ANY INCOME TAXES, not only do you not have to listen to the constant COVID drivel, not only do you not have to worry about BLM and Antifa riots, but you can ACTUALLY LIVE LIKE AMERICANS HERE.
We Americans have forgotten what it is like in America to live in Freedom. We have gotten used to the Democrats NEW NORMAL. We have let our kids be indoctrinated by Anti-White racism (CRT). Freedom after freedom has been taken away.
But in this blessed State of Florida, you can have fun with your family and be FREE in spite of the Democrats and RINOS.
I'm going to the Beach today and see my family laugh. Sorry Democrats and RINOs, you are not invited.
