The suspect, who had two open felony warrants, 'had a weapon and was pointing it at officers,' officials say
The person authorities believe shot and killed a beloved Texas Cracker Barrel employee on Saturday was killed by deputies on Monday, a report said. Fox 26 Houston, citing the Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, said the officer-involved shooting occurred near Atascocita High School after a Dodge Charger that matched the description of the vehicle used in the incident was located.
Authorities said the suspect, who had two open felony warrants, "had a weapon and was pointing it at officers." Robin Baucom, 59, a grandmother and associate manager at the Houston location, was killed opening the Harris County store on Saturday. She had worked in the restaurant for more than three decades.

Ok Satan..... stoke the fires of Hell cuz one of your animals is coming home to burn!
The previous story said that it was an attempted snatch and grab of a purse.
Yeah, it’s funny they can report that the perp had two open felony warrants, but they cannot report his name.
Don’t know his name but….
“Wolfford said surveillance began on Monday to locate the suspect, who authorities said was a 28-year-old Black male, were able to locate him, alone on foot, where he was involved in a shooting with authorities.”
From now on, when ever a news story doesn’t include name and needed information, I’m going to conclude that it must be Senior FBI informant Ray Epps!
Let’s Go Ray Epps!
“Cracker Barrel shooting: Suspected gunman killed by deputies, report says”
I certainly hope they shot the right guy and not just the suspected guy...
Cracker Barrel. Too much Irony here for him.

Weird how when law hating, busybody agitators allow LEOs to do the job we hired them to do, it always has a happy ending. The bastard won’t be murdering any other old ladies.
“Houston area” is pretty vague (7 million-plus population). Apparently this Cracker Barrel is in or near Humble, Texas, to the northeast (near US 59).
The “person“? You know he has warrants, does the MLK weekend celebrant have a name ?
And a sheriff using the term “prison of interest” reveals himself as a dunce. He was a suspect. That other term has zero legal meaning but is popular with TV shows.
My sincere sympathy with the family of the victim here - but I would hate to have that description appear in my obituary.
Regards,
Shooting up a Cracker Barrel is just wrong.
Sounds like a message was delivered to perps to not escalate their small-time jobs.
And why’s that, Alexander. “A beloved Cracker Barrel employee.” I would think her family is very fond of her. There’s a very high probability the she enjoyed her job considering her length of employement. I question the sincerity of your sympathy. You place more emphasis on her employment than her as a person. Indeed, Alexander, you have my sympathy. By the way, it’s not sincere at all.
Houston has become the São Paulo del Norte.
Why rob a Cracker Barrel employee?
The crooks know where the money is!
