Thieves in LA are looting freight trains filled with packages from UPS, FedEx and Amazon
CNN ^ | January 15, 2022 | Matt McFarland and Cheri Mossburg

Photos and videos showing piles of empty boxes littered alongside rail tracks in Los Angeles County, California have gone viral as shipping companies say they've seen a dramatic spike in railroad theft. Some of the boxes are packages from companies like UPS, Amazon and FedEx.

Union Pacific, one of the country's largest railroad companies, says it may avoid operating in Los Angeles County following the spike in thefts, which it blames on lax prosecution of crimes. The containers and trains are locked, but can be broken into. Union Pacific said last month in a letter to the Los Angeles District Attorney that it saw a 160% year-over-year increase in theft in LA county.

If Union Pacific refuses to bring trains into Los Angeles, the piracy of their freight will end suddenly AND businesses in the city will suffer from the tremendous loss of bulk freight service.

This is EXACTLY what I said would end the piracy when I called for Union Pacific to abandon their train traffic into L.A.

The city is devolving further and further into a dystopian world of crime gone wild. It is becoming a cesspool of anarchy.

“rigged to explode when broken into...........”

Nooo, too expensive, remember these are simply lowlifes. A bait car or two on every train departing LA. Two men with automatic rifles inside.
Open door = dead Lowlife.
My guess is those lil Jesse Jameses will go back to carjacking in a couple of weeks or less.
But not before Al Sharpton & the ‘Civil Rights’ pimps throw a hissy fit

Then there are secondary effects of the train robberies and the refuse left of the tracks:

Fence in the right of way with 2 parallel fences (on each side) … have guard dogs roam around in between.

I think thats what the NYC transit authority did to its storage yards and graffiti on subway cars nearly disappeared

That is my solution as well. American companies need to stop catering to California and they need to stop using the state as an entry point for goods and as a distribution point for goods. They obviously cannot do the job any longer and must be costing companies like Amazon a lot of money in lost packages and there are probably some insurance companies taking hits as well. California has gone from an asset to a liability.
