Did it warm up this afternoon as much as they said it would?
It was a crazy day here with rain-snow-rain-snow. Had it been all snow, we’d have had over 10 inches. We have around 2 inches on the ground tonight.

Yes it got up to about 68 this afternoon. When I woke up this mornong at [ugh] 7:30 it was 29, so quite a change. The kitties were much happier this evening with no wind blowing them around.
Egad. I knew it was going to be messy there, and it looks like it kept its promise. Probably a good thing you had that rain, but it might now make for slick surfaces, right?
Mmmmmmm, that 68 degrees sounds wonderful! With no wind, it was perfect. The kitties must have been delighted.
It sure was a big jump from 29!
Snowfall totals around the state were crazy. 9 inches here, 2 inches there, 5 inches another place. All over the map.
It was raining here when I went to bed this morning, snowing at 8:30 when I woke up for a potty break, then raining again when the alarm got me up, and snowing again by 2:00 this afternoon.
They’ve told people to just stay home tonight. The roads are going to be glazed with black ice. There won’t be much melting tomorrow but Tuesday it should all be gone. Rain Wednesday should get rid of any remnants.
Winter in the south! LOL
HA! They didn’t have to tell YOU to stay home. You could figure it out all by yourself. I wouldn’t want to be going anywhere on slick roads either. I hope by Wednesday you have some warmer time to enjoy!
Nope, didn’t have to tell me. LOL
We’ll be in the upper 40s Tuesday and Wednesday but back in the low 30s Thursday and Friday. Winter has apparently settled in at last.
Well we got just 4-5 inches of the white fluffy stuff so far here in West Pa. Temps in 20’s so looks like a normal winter snowstorm for now....still coming down so morning will see how much is here by then.
Area is all hunkered down....schools closed for tomorrow, bus station closed and not running. What few cars out are driving slow.
Thus far this storm would not make it into the annals of “Blizzard” conditions or even close.

Sure sounds like you have the real deal. Meanwhile over here the roller coaster still goes up and down. Tuesday...73. Thursday...36. Nuts!
Yeah, it sounds pretty typical of winter in your part of the country. Nothing to buy up all the bread and milk in the grocery stores over. Hope it doesn’t get any worse for you!
We have the real deal for a while anyway. But hey, it IS January and time for cold weather. LOL

I’m jealous of that pretty day you and Gizmo were able to enjoy. It looks like he had a grand time at the lake.
It is wild, but nothing to do but plow through it.
I think I’m going to head out soon. I’m wiped out from getting up so early and not really getting much of a nap this afternoon. See ya tomorrow. Stay warm!
Yup. Can’t control the weather so we just have to grin and bear it. Or grumble and bear it. LOL

Well, now, today it’s raining! Which means it’s sort of warm compared to the weekend.

snow is shoveled except 2 ft on the roof and bed of my truck, still working up the need to go anywhere...
Well we ended up with 8 plus inches....lots of wind gusts now blowing things around. Town is basically plowed out as they ran the plows all night several times.
