The plummeting fortunes of the Democrat Party have rendered many progressives apoplectic. They don’t understand why the Biden-Harris regime policies aren’t working or why the Democrat majority on Capitol Hill can’t get anything passed. They see their polling numbers and most are beside themselves, masked and terrified of what’s to come.
But some are still fighting. When backed into a corner, Democrats have a tendency to go to extremes to try to maintain power. The latest move by Health and Human Services appears to be the opening volley in a desperate move to salvage the fortunes of the party ahead of the midterm elections.
It’s no coincidence that the documents telling hospitals to stop reporting Covid-19 deaths were dropped on January 6 when many Americans were busy debunking the wild claims of the left that it was an anniversary of an “insurrection” while a few Americans were getting their daily fix of confirmation bias on CNN or MSNBC. Either way, the news was buried while media was busy covering the non-story of the January 6 mostly peaceful protests.
This was by design.
But some people noticed, and now we’re here to make sure more people know about it. Despite the incessant demands by the regime that every man, woman, and child gets vaccinated to “save lives,” they’re taking the opposite approach with recording the numbers. By telling hospitals not to report deaths, their intention is to make a steady drop in Covid statistics that will artificially point to the regime’s “successful” efforts against the pandemic.

Lots of other “data elements” besides death (e.g., critical staffing shortage today) being “made inactive” (gotta love bureaucratic terminology). See pages 27 & 28 for log of reporting changes in the following linked document.
I guess the thinking is “if you can’t see it, it doesn’t exist” or “out of sight, out of mind”.
All of the sudden it’s only a threat to their political fortunes...

They are preparing the new Party Line, that COVID is conquered.
Omicron has already crested in about a third of the States, and will likely have done so in all the States by the end on this month. In other places, the downside of the curve has been as steep as the upside. February should see new case numbers drop, like falling off a cliff. As the rest of the world starts experiencing the same, and dropping their masks and restrictions, the Democrats will have to as well, just avoid looking bad by comparison.
So they are positioning to claim credit, even though the result was despite their policies, rather than because of them.
There is one reason why this window dressing will fail: Afghanistan. The Dems pulled foot and ran off, making the brave look cowardly, leaving friends behind, and then had the nerve to call it a “great triumph”. The bloom is off the rose. The cat is out of the bag. Nobody believes a word the Dems have to say about anything anymore, because they disgraced the nation and made it look weak. From that stems all the loss of credibility that followed. All failing to control covid is is a dinkelberry cherry on top of this sh!t sundae. Inflation is the diarrhea whipped cream. But the two scoops of turd-flavored ice cream is Afghanistan.

They wouldn't let that foot off the pedal if a crumbling White Hospice begged them. Nor is any hospital going to report a drop in COVID case$ when it is making them wealthy.

Now they can pretend nobody is dying from it any more.
If anyone actually thought that, they had too much plastic wrap around their head at the time. Seriously, that is rock stupid thought right there. Apologies to rocks across the world. Anyone who even remotely though the Biden admin would do ANYTHING right has zero ability to think critically.
By “would end,” I simply meant that they would DECLARE it ended because it has outlived its usefulness to them. I didn’t mean that people thought it would actually end. Sorry I wasn’t clear about that.
