Trump really could be on his way back to the White House: Ex-President's amassed a $115million election 'war chest', has a new slogan, and 82 per cent of Republicans will back him if he decides to run again in 2024

he affluent suburb of Paradise Valley in Arizona is a traditional Republican stronghold.

With multi-million-dollar homes dotting a desert filled with towering saguaro cactus plants, its residents enjoy a choice of more than half a dozen golf courses, discreet upmarket shopping centres and award-winning restaurants, all nestled against the spectacular backdrop of Camelback Mountain.

Donald Trump stormed to victory here in 2016.

Paradise Valley is part of Maricopa County, an area of 2.1 million voters which includes the city of Phoenix and its outlying areas and which has voted Republican for as long as anyone can remember.

Yet in 2020, Maricopa County delivered a bombshell when voters turned in droves against President Trump in favour of Democratic rival Joe Biden.

'It was seismic,' says life-long Republican Benny White, who unsuccessfully ran for local office and found himself being chased down driveways by furious residents branding him a 'Trumper'.

'People just turned against Trump. He became a visceral figure of hate. I was chased away. People were screaming abuse at me.'

Losing Maricopa County – and, subsequently, Arizona itself – proved fatal for Trump, who continues to insist the election was 'stolen' from him, a claim which has been roundly refuted and which his critics have dubbed the 'Big Lie'.

Yet today in Paradise Valley (population: 14,362), things are feeling rather different. The November 2020 election seems a long time ago. And for the former President, that could be very good news.

Many Paradise Valley voters regret switching their support to Biden. And when The Mail on Sunday visited last week, they said they'd now rather vote for Trump, should he choose to run again.

Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice, shame on me.

I donated a plenty to Trump.
Not again.
Pass the baton.

“82 percent say now that they would support him. That number will only grow.”

Except for a few extremely deep thinkers on this site who are supremely concerned about Trump’s supposed baggage. They never explain what that baggage is.

Abraham Lincoln had "baggage". Certainly the whole Dem bench and current leaders have "baggage".

I’m not making hard predictions but if Trump could win in 2024 he should have been able to win in 2020. By win I mean really win outright. Overcoming Dem cheating is just part of the job description to be a conservative candidate unfortunately. The burn everything constant drama approach worked in 2016 but we need a candidate with a bigger toolbox in the future. Say what you will about Trump but he’s more of a historically apolitical recently converted populist vague semiconservative when you get down to it. We need a more philosophical mind like Jordan Peterson or Bannon who’d spend more time on policy rather than catfighting on twitter. More able to build coalitions and select loyal people rather than having every other former employee turn on you to write an expose. Perhaps a bit younger.

He might be smart to choose Kari Lake as his VP pick. She’s not a swamp dweller and so far is pretty impressive. A serious person. Can you even IMAGINE her cackling the way Kamala does?

I think I heard that the people who manage the venue are saying 40,000.

Trump needs to be himself.

Mentioning twitter now is a waste of pixels since he will never be allowed back on that platform for the rest of his life.

I look forward to reading his posts on his new social media platform in February.

Trump’s “shitty personality” is one of the reasons he won in 2016 lololololololololol

You aren’t the decider of what “turns off voters” & Georgia was stolen.

“So, what’s the new slogan?”

A few times I’ve heard him say, “Make America great again AGAIN”, but don’t know if that’s going to be official. It’s not bad; everyone can just applique an “A” to the end of our 2016/2020 swag.

“That number will only grow.”

It will. Each time he has a rally the percentage will jump one or two points. Most of the information that needs to be spread he does in one speech. Even if the sinners try to ignore it, they’ll hear bits and pieces.

The RATS aren’t the biggest problem. They can be converted easier than the extreme RINOs like Lincoln Project.
Their jealousy has made them certifiably insane and evil.

“The will try to kill him....”

I’m pretty sure they have been trying to kill him for years. Why wouldn’t they? One simple assassination would be much easier than putting together a well-thought-out platform and engage in legitimate strategy.

>>Trump’s personality is a negative. He needs to tone it down. >>Stay off Twitter.

A lot of people have chained themselves to Trump because he’s got guts and a teflon personality to go against the establishment that almost no other major figure in the Republican party seems to have. Unfortunately, while he has one extremely rare key ingredient to be a stellar future candidate he lacks other crucial ingredients. He doesn’t have a firm philosophical grasp of conservative principles and to be frank I doubt he really cares. He doesn’t really seem to be as interested in policy vs carrying on social media spats. He’s the worst boss at picking loyal employees I’ve ever seen, Kavanaugh, Omarosa, generals, his lawyer etc etc. He has a bit of a hard time recruiting beyond hardcore Republicans at a level other than ‘I hate the other guy’. In his old age he’s becoming unfiltered which can be good but only if done strategically. His age is a concern, he has energy of course but a lot of old people have energy but can drop suddenly, and its also seems to be showing a bit in the above mentioned ways such as his sometimes irascible mood and poor judge of character.

“Trump’s personality is a negative.”

So you say. It is positive to me and to at least 40,000 people in Arizona last night. You prefer milquetoast drones, and that’s fine. Opinions are like assholes. It’s what makes life interesting.

“I CAN’T WAIT!!!! President Donald J. Trump.”

“I can’t wait for the next national election as well as 2024.”

Don’t forget cheating. They’ll do it better this time around. I hope conservatives in blue states are signing up in droves to be elections workers, poll watchers, precinct chairman, etc. Experts say that 95% participation by GOP elections workers is what saved the day in VA.

Age can be a problem. What you could do in your younger age
becomes much harder as you get older. Both physical and mental
attributes are impacted.

No exploration of the cause of this “seismic shift,” perhaps because it was fictitious?

“If Trump wants a chance of winning, he needs to dial back the New York attitude significantly.”

WTF are you talking about? He already WON TWO Presidential elections with amazing numbers. Obviously, it works for him and I doubt he’ll be contacting you for campaign advice.

You’re fragile; we get it. A DandyMan would be. So vote for the candidate who’s a wussified squish and go home feeling sanctimonious about your choice.

Another thing, Trump was not all that successful at actually countering libtards. Don’t get me wrong he definitely was unparalleled at p*ssing them off. But thats really more due to their growing radicalism. His continued insistence on relying on and boosting Big Tech SJW companies like Twitter until it was too late really encapsulates it. Even though they were kept out of the President’s chair temporarily libtard power and influence didn’t really decrease during his term and they took full advantage of it during 2020. We need someone good at and interested in actually reducing the real institutional power of libtards beyond just insulting them in tweets.

Well maybe he did win two but he isn’t occupying the White House.
It takes more than numbers in some things to come out on top. If you
play the game then you have to the underlying support in all areas.
