Reason number 442 why I'll never cruise again. I'd be so pissed off stuck in the middle of the ocean.

“Focaraccio detailed that after the ship made a stop in St. Maarten on Friday, it would not be making any other stops at ports or islands”

If your gonna get stranded on an island St. Maartens the one.

Yeah, you’d have to be nuts to take a cruise now.

It’s a shame because it’s a great way to see a lot of things in a short period of time.

Hey — get over it. Stuck at sea, with entertainment, food, drinks, casino, fresh air. Some of us take a cruise for just that reason.

Unfortunately the weather might go bad, and the air will be cold between the Caribbean and New York.

Now, forced inside and forced masks, is an issue with me.

And what we don’t know is the quarantine side of things either.

Several years ago, my wife and I decided we were going to take an Alaskan cruise in 2022 to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Let’s just say we are making other plans.

What would piss me off is that Norwegian IS HIDING FROM US ??

There is a onboard covid concern. What is the scope ??

How many ? Crew or passengers ?

I doubt anyone is dying.

I just wonder about the logistics. Does the Captain send the crew and staff back to land on lifeboats and leave the passengers alone to fend for themselves? Cancel a cruise half-way through ... just sounds weird.

I have 2 employees that were supposed to be on that cruise and the Gem is my favorite ship and I told them no way no how would I get on that ship for 10 nights. It’s a small ship with limited facilities compared to the big ships. I’m not afraid of COVID (just recovered), but not going to be stuck in a 100 sq ft state room for 10 days!

It’s commonplace for a cruise to cancel port calls and continue with sea days. This isn’t “cancelling the cruise”, which still continues with food and entertainment. This is just click-bait reporting.

I won’t cruise again until Covid status is irrelevant. When they don’t ask and don’t care about vaccine or test, that will be the only time for me to take a chance on cruising again.
